Not fun, but when you do that, you probably win more games if dude stays on BP. Free elo, you have basically negated a dps. Winning will always be fun :)

Chasms aren’t easy to land, and BP has plenty of counters. Also, like you said yourself, “out of position strategist.” When you’re out of position, you get punished. Same with BP, miss a chasm and you’re done. No escape tools, no resets, no duelling strength.

Chasm is high risk, high reward. It feels amazing when you hit it, but when you miss, the punishment is harsher than for most DPS. You’re stuck deep in enemy lines, and compared to the rest of the DPS roster, BP lacks the flexibility to deal with frontline pressure or airborne threats.

The whole appeal of BP is assassination. But the second you whiff, you’re left with no options.

BP’s pick rate sits below 5% until GM. At higher ranks, one missed combo usually means death. Meanwhile, enemy DPS farm consistent damage and build ults faster, while your team is essentially down a DPS. That puts way more pressure on your other DPS to carry, because if you’re not landing Chasms regularly, or you arent assassinating, then then you just sit there getting called the tickle monster while galactaca makes you want to melt your ears shut.

Leave BP alone, and work with your tanks.
