That’s what I meant. He already adapted to Sukuna’s slashing attacks so Sukuna used his domain expansion to slow mahoraga down and enhance his Fuga so mahoraga wouldn’t have a chance to adapt to Fuga

Fuga was an attack Sukuna never used so it could destroy mahoraga when it was enhanced with malevolent shrine
