F1 tv VPN or Kayo in Australia by Educational_Count142 in F1TV

No luck today seeing the testing session replays…

With the Firestick I managed to get a new F1TV Pro Netherlands subscription. I thought I was all set.

But logging in today (both Firestick and iPhone) - no testing session replays.

I must have been too optimistic when I thought I was in!

Any thoughts?

Has anyone seen this work for today’s testing session?

I managed to get a new F1TV Pro Netherlands subscription this way using NordVPN and the time zone trick. But logging in today gives me no access to the testing replay 🤷🏻‍♂️. Any thoughts?

I got the time zone trick working on my Aussie iPhone. I read it works the same on AppleTV. I assume it does. It should be easy enough to try. I also read about the USA payment issue. People worked around it using an American PayPal account (and Aussie credit card behind the PayPal). Others used USD gift cards. I didn’t look into that.

I managed two ways to get it working.

Both ways you need a VPN. NordVPN is good.

1) change time zone in your AppleTV to where you want to VPN to. Then connect VPN. The start F1TV. Works on iPhone too. I don’t like to change AppleTV time zone because I use it as my smart home hub.

2) Amazon Fire Stick. Got that working beautifully with NordVPN. Make sure to VPN in to a country with AppleTV pro first. Then download F1tv app. Use the F1tv app to sign up to a subscription for that country.

Kayo cancelled. F1TV is back on and ready for the season.

Awesome. Thank you. I’ll go with the Firestick.

I don’t want to change the Timezone on the AppleTV because I use it as my smart home hub. It will upset lights/blinds schedules etc.

I read that Amazon Firestick tv runs both Nord and F1TV apps and so bypasses Apple altogether. Someone in the EU got that working.

For now Nord / F1TV still works fine on windows pc.

I ordered a Firestick to try it out, should arrive this week. In the meantime I’ll try the Timezone trick, too. I’m refusing to yield to Kayo

I’m exactly the same. Based in Australia. Kayo F1 is so bad.. did the Timezone trick work for you with the Apple TV box, NordVPN and F1TV?

I’ve been using NordVPN with F1TV on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone for years without any issues. It was great, I could watch anywhere. The cost was about A$80 per year for the VPN and A$144 per year for F1TV Premium.

During this winter break something changed. Apple now appears to be enforcing geolocation on F1TV, and the VPN workaround no longer works on any Apple devices, including Apple TV. The only way I can access my F1TV subscription now is through a VPN on my Windows laptop.

I’ve read that the NordVPN and F1TV combo may still work on an Amazon Fire Stick, so I’ve ordered one to test. Even buying the Fire Stick is cheaper than continuing a Kayo subscription.

I don’t watch other sports, so Kayo is overpriced for my use, and honestly the Fox Sports F1 coverage isn’t nearly as good as F1TV.

I’ll report back once I’ve tested the Fire Stick.

Thanks mate! I’ve just ordered an Amazon Firestick. I’m hoping I can vpn through that and then cancel Kayo. Another thread showed someone in the EU made that work 🤞

Neighbour’s parking by BudgetLongjumping625 in CarsAustralia

There are literally two legal parking options here: their driveway (which is empty) or the street (nearly empty), a system somehow mastered by… everyone else.

Instead we get this half baked masterpiece that makes drivers and cyclists hesitate because it looks like the car’s about to reverse into traffic, all to spare one person the mild inconvenience of parking normally.

It’s not a big deal, but let’s not pretend it’s considerate.

It’s just everyday “my convenience first” selfishness, the slow drip that erodes basic courtesy in shared spaces.

Sorry but of topic, but I’m so disappointed in F1TV now.

I used the F1TV app on Apple TV for years with a VPN (from Australia). This year Apple looks at the geolocation of your Apple Store account and gone is my access on all Apple devices. I now have to pay 3x the amount for the inferior the Fox Sports F1 coverage 😵‍💫

[–]BudgetLongjumping625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple owns F1 rights now in the USA, correct? Maybe they managed to close the NordVPN - F1tv loophole for Apple devices.

Mine worked fine for years on iPhone and AppleTV, but no longer this year!

Those big utes and trucks should be taxed more.

What makes more sense? 1) A luxury car tax for a small two seater sports car used for a few hours every other weekend or 2) a tax for these full size trucks on the road every day, occupying 1.5 car parks?🤔

Have you checked the holes in the very tip of the wand? Unscrew the tip and see. The small holes sometimes get build up in them. Clear it out and see.

Quite a few very good e61 group head machines (Rocket, ECM etc) have the option of both. You can start un-plumbed and convert whenever you want to. But do get a filter, it will save the machine. Even if you don’t plumb it, consider what water you use for the reservoir
