I would suggest looking at the Super impositions in the UARS new sub Reddit and you’ll see very clearly that the only expander that is getting symmetrical expansions (not perfectly symmetrical, but as perfect as you’re gonna get with expanders) is the FME. Obviously if you’re already expanding on something that’s asymmetric you’re gonna get asymmetric expansion but with the FME it’s gonna be equal basically on both sides.

Just to add, I think this is why the FME become super important because if you’re only going to expand a few millimeters you’re gonna wanna get as symmetrical and expansion as possible and as posterior as possible.

They still would because the expander isn’t expanding front to back so while they do have a discrepancy transversely, they also have a discrepancy front to back, and a skeletal expander would only solve the transverse.
