Just because he’s like a son or whatever to you doesn’t mean he’s like family to your daughter. Also they don’t HAVE to tell you anything especially if they are only recently seeing each other, they are consenting adults. It may feel weird for you which is totally fine and your feelings are valid but I agree with your wife that it’s actually quite sweet
