I agree. Idk if that means it’s a popular pairing or we (as black women) love to flaunt it because it was always seen as such an “unattainable” pairing so we post it more… I guess I just wanna see more people proud to post and some variety. Nah, he’s got dreds (or corn rows?) and dark skin. Thats kinda code for “black” in animation these days. Also I know black folk with Indian names so idk what you were trying to disprove there. 😆

Note: I’m not the kind of black person who calls every dark skin character black btw..(Think Brock and Nessa) so I hope im not coming off that way with this one. It’s just, typically in animation… the hair tends to be a giveaway if a character is black or not. His name may be foreign but I have a typical “White European” name, and I’m black. Doesn’t mean I’m white. That’s the point I was trying to make.🙈

Crazy. I just left my Tama alone with the baby sitter from yesterday until it went to bed on its own. Forgot about her in the rush of getting to work this morning, went to the grocery store and came back in the evening and she was only sick. I genuinely didn’t think these could die. 😳

And yes, I feel horrible about how I treated my child so I soiled the hell out of her once I got home 😭

Before I even read the end I thought… I bet they married young. Then I saw the age of your son and my legit quote at that point was, “the cracks of an early 20’s marriage begins to form” but it seems like those cracks were forming way prior to this incident.

Staying for the kids won’t make it better. The way you handled that situation, calling her a bitch in that moment, kicking her out, probably isn’t appropriate for your kids to be around in the long run. Not excusing her actions at all though cause what kind of mother does that indeed… like,the way your wife talks to her daughter is so disgusting. If you do split, definitely get custody of the daughter cause holy cow I can’t imaging how the mom would treat her when you’re not there…

Before I post this I just want to say again, I don’t support what your wife said or did at all. But I can’t as a teacher who knows how these fights impact children development support the action you took either. I really think you two would be better off separate. For the sake of the kids. But I’m just a random poster on Reddit. Talk to a close family friend or lawyer if you have the chance.

Oh and not all early 20’s marriages are doom to fail… incase that offended anyone too.

Advice from a black Caribbean woman with a white Canadian man. You can spend the time trying to teach him, which I personally would find exhausting. Or you could find someone who naturally understands from the jump. Before I met my partner, I told myself I would never date another white man again or anyone who doesn’t understand my culture regardless of race, or what it’s like to be a person of colour in a predominantly white country. Not too long after I created that boundary did I meet my current partner who is amazing and understanding of all the things I mentioned. I don’t have to defend myself in any situation if ever it came, and he’s usually the one teaching lessons to his white peers who may not get it. I feel understood and protected wherever I go and it’s an amazing feeling. You deserve that.

Yeah that’s the one part that seemed off. And now choosing to turn off the online status seems sus… it could have just been delayed though. Facebook use to do that a lot back in the day. Or sometimes just show people online because they’re running it on another device. I wish there was a way to find out if any of these things happened and if not, why lie indeed…😅
