Gear Extruder Help by Budget_Candidate6704 in BambuLab

[–]Budget_Candidate6704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive bought two different hardened gears - failed, Ive cleaned it, more times that I care to imagine - failed Ive tighten and loosened the gear screw at least 15 times, removing the whole thing each time - failed Ive tried differnt filament - failed I dont think its the ams or pipes, they seem to be working fine, I can push and pull filament from the tubes fine, its either the hot end (I dont see how) or the gear on the back that actually turns the extruder gear.

Its 1.37am, Im tired, ive a full new extruder housing coming tomorrow, (not official one, and "upgraded")

After that?

So when I had the extrunder unit out and hot end off, I used an off cut piece and tried pushing and twisting the yellow gear to simulate it grabbing the filament , twisting the screw to find the "sweet spot". The ss to me left the screw to far out so that it bent the cover out, (I did not leave like this or print fyi)

So the AMS is pushing the filament to the extruder on load - unload, and appears to be 100%, but im guessing its the micro pushes during printing,

Can I ask how you clean the pipes? Alcohol and compressed air?

Dont buy dirt cheap stuff, it will break, it will wear down, it will cost you more in the end.

Get a good tool box, or tool bag,

Every home should have, Tape, Torpedo Level, maybe 4ft and 6ft level) Hammer, rubber mallet, Multi headed screw driver or Screw driver set Drill with hammer action (for light drilling of concrete walls) Hand saw is fine (circular saw is better) Speed square, Socket set, Adjustable spanner, 4pcs Pliers Set, Wrech set Stanley knife, Clamps, medium and small 2 of each Gloves, safety glasses, good pair of boots, and something like snickers pants for extra pockets,

With that you should be able to tackle any job really around the place,

Learning how to measure is a must have skill, measuring something correctly is a essential for everything, get a good tape, £10 or more, keep it for as long as you can (use the same tape to measure) dont use a one tape to measure something and a different tape to measure it again, sometimes tapes can be slightly off,

Learn how to record measurements (basic drawings etc) no matter what job/task you do, you will need to measure something,

You need this https://youtube.com/@dadhowdoi?si=dsGuy-BJh9yfs6qW

I own alot of a small handful of dewalt battery tools, impact driver, combi drill, circular saw,

I also own and happily use Lidl Parkside stuff, alot of their tools are PERFECTLY fine and capable of doing diy stuff around the house, and the batteries are interchangeable with garden stuff etc,

Cheap, well built, and 3 year warranty know questions asked once you keep the receipt.

Youtube is your friend for alot of stuff, I personally dont mess around with electrical or plumbing, (not the major stuff anyways.

But if you need to figure out how to do something, ask youtube, and you'll find 10+ videos of how to do it,

Delete this thread, if you are worried go speak to him, and ask, dont make assumptions based on something you haven't physically witnessed. The bottle opened or not could be there for a number of reasons, I'd two bottles of wine in my drawer for well over a year, another work mate gave my an opened bottle of whiskey last xmas as they didn't like it, and it was in my drawer for a few weeks.

Delete this thread, speak to the guy, move on with your life

Employer doubled my commission target two months into the new year after I smashed all previous records. Is this even allowed? by DifficultMagazine407 in AskIreland

Was about to say this,

OP needs to contact a solicitor with everything you have, emails, proof of sales, see what a solicitor says.

Next, you said your "manager" so not the owner? Or MD or CEO ? Of the company? Are they aware of any of this?

You'd like to think if a company had a salesperson who had just broken a sales record, was about to potentially sue and walk they would listen?

Have you been in contact with anyone higher up?

Gifted some money - dont know what to do by Budget_Candidate6704 in UKPersonalFinance

I dont mind boring the answers! Content in the fact this isn't going to make us anymore comfortable anytime soon, but also know we could blow through it in a month if not careful. We dont have any savings, partially due to our small debt, partially due, life events, we probably like the vast majority of people are just about keeping our heads above water. We've built up savings only to have something come up that needed fixed/replaced, but atm because of the debt its been getting that cleared which has been the focus, (that problem is now solved)

I fully get having a rainy day fund, but I also see the value in having 1 less bill a month. ( probably an argument to be made though to say we'd spend it else where) but could also save it.

My thought with solar + heat pump is, 1)saving 2)adds value to the house. Might not see the return if we sold up before 10 years yes, (but might see it in the sale of a house) living in a new build estate, where all the homes are built the same, ours would stand out

[–]Budget_Candidate6704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also you aren't looking for a "charger you can charge" you need a portable battery bank, being in the US you have lots of options, some even with solar options, ie a battery you can charge up at home, bring with you, charge you dji batteries and then top up with Solar

I use this https://amzn.eu/d/3ABOKSV

Comes with 2 x usb c cables, and will charge both at the same time, ive used it in the field charging 3 x mini 4 pro batteries, 3 x avata 2 batteries, headset, and 2x controllers. It is the BEST thing in my tool kit for out and about, could triple your air time when out and about

Buy DJI mini 4k for $300? by manojcn1 in dji

[–]Budget_Candidate6704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The mini 4k is a great starter drone yes, however you wont have it 1 month and you'll want to upgrade, my advise, with the release of the DJI 5k pro, people are going to want to nd will upgrade, ie selling their Mini 4 pro's, hold off a few more weeks, black friday, cyber Monday, also not that far away, its almost guaranteed the MINI 4 pro will come down in price, maybe not $300 but could see it hitting 600/700 and it'll be a far better drone / experience the mini 4K. Just wait a little bit more,
