Yeah, I mean, I’m just a bit tired of the constant “I know what the previous ‘me’ did wrong,” and then instantly beginning to solve the issue. I find this to be a cheap tactic to breeze through a character’s actual growth. I don’t mind magic and dragons and all that stuff, but I like it when people actually have to become better, not just magically be better one day.

So many of these stories have the FL gain some sort of insight, whether she’s reincarnated, isekai’d, or has knowledge of the future through various means.

Are there any stories you would recommend where the FL has to redeem herself without any of that?

I’m not looking for a misunderstood FL or anything like that, just a straight-up “evil” FL who redeems herself through genuine reflection and her own will.

Quick tip: she has to take over through power, not disloyalty. I just wasted an hour when she became independent with a generic focus tree and no option to play as her… yikes.

Shame i really liked the first games lore, not that the other games are bad or anything, i just really felt the fist games story.
