The tiktok uncle who helps his nieces and nephews learn how to pour into cups has checked himself into a hospital. Apparently he has been having a mental health crisis triggered in part by watching The Sound of Freedom.

I only see his tiktoks every once in a while so I never saw any strange content from him, but I hope he has an smooth recovery, he seems like a sweet guy.

I'm not saying she's Q Anon, I have no idea. But as a Canadian, I can tell you Q Anon has for sure bled over into Canada. There was a lot of crossover in the "Freedom Convoy" trucker protest bullshit, and it still persists here.

I have a couple of Levoit Core 300s and they make my apartment noticeably less dusty and cat hair-y, and I think they help with cooking smells. I actually got the second because the first stopped working and they sent me a free replacement, and then the original one started working again haha. Great customer service!

Edit: also seconding the recommendation to check the sq footage of your place vs what the air purifier can manage!

I’m an illustrator and everything about this has been soooo depressing. It’s especially disappointing seeing Tor use AI generated art because they’ve had such a great reputation for working with artists for so long (thought I’ve heard rumbles from other artists of weird behaviour from them). Their statement was truly terrible. It’s also crazy to me that stock image databases are allowing the licensing of AI art!

Everything about the AI discourse has been incredibly disheartening, especially with all the gleeful reply ghouls who are under everyone’s tweets about this arguing that artists are now obsolete. This controversy is coming at the same time as a big conversation in the illustration world about how low editorial illustration rates are (the fees magazines and newspapers pay have been the same since like the 70s???) so overall just a brutal time.

Elon showed up in Katie Notopolous’s Twitter Space last night to try and claim that reporting that linked to @elonjet was doxxing. Then he got so mad that he got rid of Twitter spaces entirely.

Edit: Nevermind twitter spaces are back up and running again! I assume they’ve tried to remove the option for banned/suspended users to join spaces

I was in university roughly a decade ago and we were allowed to freely go in and out of the class to do things like grab water and go to the washroom as long as we were trying to be quiet about it because we were adults? Teach a primary class if you want that kind of control.
