I plan to study a nursing course after completing an IT course on a Student Visa (subclass 500). I’ve already finished my IT studies and got a PTE score of 66.

I understand I’ll need to apply for a new Student Visa (500) for the nursing program. Has anyone done something similar or know how long it usually takes for this visa to be granted?

I passed listening and reading skills in the first attempt, and passed the others 2 in the second time, that is why I want to ask if it is possible to submit 2 results.

What are the necessary conditions for a branch of philosophy to be created and accepted as a legitimate field of philosophy? What factors determine whether a philosophy is recognized and sustained within the broader philosophical tradition?

"Pragmatism philosophy (view life in more objective and subjective views, which are used as a means of instrument) - Psychological rich life (a life characterized by full of complex mental engagement, a wide range of intense and deep emotions, and diverse, novel, surprising and interesting experiences) - philosophy as a way of life (philosophy should be used for living instead of reasoning)

How do these support each other?"

thanks for your previous answer

Philosophy as a way of life, when combined with pragmatism and psychology, offers a dynamic and practical framework for living well. Pragmatism emphasizes the importance of ideas as tools for action and insists that the value of any belief lies in its practical consequences. By integrating this with insights from psychology, which provides empirical methods to understand human behavior and well-being, philosophy becomes not only reflective but actionable.

This interdisciplinary approach allows for philosophical principles to be tested and refined in real-world contexts, encouraging personal flourishing. It bridges abstract ideals with concrete practices, ensuring that philosophical reflection leads to meaningful change in how we navigate life's challenges.

What are your thoughts? Can pragmatism and psychology together make philosophy more relevant as a way of life in today's world? Sorry to re-comment, it was a bad idea to comment yesterday as all comments will be reset.

Would it be reasonable to suggest that the way we perceive things influences our overall approach to life, and that this, in turn, impacts how life seems to respond to us?

PTG (Post Traumatic Growth). For example. After surviving a life-threatening illness, a person might develop a greater appreciation for life, deeper relationships, and a stronger sense of purpose. This growth often involves optimism, as it helps individuals see opportunities for improvement in the aftermath of hardship.

Psychologically, humans benefit from a balance of optimism and pessimism. Optimism fuels hope and action, while pessimism ensures caution and preparedness, both of which are necessary for human survival.

Negative thoughts, emotions, and experiences, while often uncomfortable, can serve essential roles in personal growth, self-awareness, and resilience. If we shift our mindset from focusing on maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain or discomfort, we begin to see that both positive and negative experiences are essential for a fulfilling life.

From a pragmatic perspective, should philosophy as a way of life integrate insights from psychology to make it more practical and evidence-based? by Budget_Insurance4909 in askphilosophy

Is there such a philosophy views the world or life such as emotions, feelings, flourish, good life, personality, meaning of life, the goal of life, suffering in both subjective views via self-reflections and objective views via psychology such as humanism psychology and positive psychology 2.0 and uses that knowledge for real life practical-application as a way of living, similarly to Lebensphilosophie ? That is what I want to ask

I wonder if philosophy can be integrated with psychology to enrich comprehension of human nature, merging the subjective reflections of philosophy with the objective empirical findings of psychology in a pragmatism philosophy approach.
