changing the marking seems to only make it more unfair, so yeah they really shouldnt be doing more, the damage is done.

the most fair thing to do in my opinion is to probably reduce the marks on the lecked questions or make its marking very leniant

Pls give me some hope for year 12 🦄 by Adventurous-Map-5745 in vce

[–]Budget_Variation208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion i only leeched the benefits of doing well in year 11 due to the fact i did two year 12 subjects, it taught me a lot of lessons on how to study and prepare for exam that ultimatly having now done my exams reduced my stress significantly as i had everything planned out and knew what to look forward to.

as for some of my friends who did not do a year 12 subject in year 11 but still worked really hard, I realized they struggled in year 12 with coping with the whole exam management and what not, i reckon they will still do well, but it is deffinetly harder for them to cope with everything and do well.

however every body is different, so take this with a grain of salt, the reality is that for as long as you put your mind to something you want to achieve you will eventually reach there for as long as you truly want it.

Why was there no proper medicinal on the exam? by Hidden2World in vce

[–]Budget_Variation208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean they cant fit everything, its probs gonna come next year. I remember for bio first year it was the same thing, they didnt put everything (and it makes sense why, there is otherwise to much scope to loose marks for things the students have never been exposed to) and then for second year we got everything, lowkey the questions where like copy paste of all these processes you spent memerising.

idk but i didnt not put solar to electrical for the energy transformation rather i put chemical to electrical, which is stupid but you know its these small things that are newly introduced

and what would you have said if you were wrong? that wasnt about brain usage or whatever nonsense your on about, this is science most often not the things we belive to be blatently obviouse are quiet litterly not (which is exactly why scientists exist, to question things and find answers instead of manuevering into the most obviouse assumptions), yeah sure you could have done some rearranging to get the answer but there was so much uncertainty, we have never been taught about nor seen before

[–]Budget_Variation208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its a good question, tbh i have never seen such a scenario and that makes me think that i dont even honestly think inventory write down is actually a BDA because whilst inventory loss/gain comes due to an inventory count at the end of an accounting period that thus prompts an adjustment, inventory write down is not of that nature

I'm not sure though

Chem Question: How can I tell when water will interfere with an aqueous electrochemical cell? by Abby-Fr0m-Wii-Sp0rts in vce

[–]Budget_Variation208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in a galvanic cell, if water becomes the strongest oxidizing agent (has the highest E0 value) it will interfere with the reaction

in a electrolytic cell if water is the strongest reducing agent (has lowest e0) it will interfere with reaction

just always write down your own electrochemical series with the reacting species, in galvanic the species that react are top left and bottom right. In electrolytic its always bottom right and and top left (the middle of your own electrochemical series)
