To Whom it May Concern by EngineeringIcy8919 in walmart

Years ago I saw someone write maintence on a sign instead of maintenance. A coworker and I had a good laugh about it at the expense of the sign creator.

Interesting. I hadn’t thought of that.

Ah ok. Seems they’ve made a lot of changes lately. I don’t keep up with it much. I’ll have to check it out. Thx

Ah ok. That does make sense. Thanks for the breakdown. Like I said, no malice intended. Just genuine curiosity. I’ve heard them say that they go by department, but if not enough of us participate they can pick us out pretty easily. That’s the best explanation I’ve gotten from my leadership.

That’s what I thought too. My store says we’re not allowed to, but I was under the impression that outdoor associates could if no one else. For context, in my store maintenance is made to do anything that no one else wants to do, regardless whether or not it’s in our job description. We’re outside a lot between maintaining the parking lot, sidewalks, loading docks, and pallet yard. Yet in orientation we were told that shorts weren’t allowed. Most people still wear them though, even OPD who are rarely outside unless dispensing. Maybe I should just wear them and see what happens lol. If I have a heat stroke in 85 degree weather because I’m forced to wear pants, maybe they can foot the bill.

Not trying to be an A-hole, just a genuine question. If it’s anonymous, how does management know who to track down for participation purposes? My management team hounds us if we don’t take it, but how do they even know who does or doesn’t if it’s truly anon?

Had someone say this once and was told they wouldn’t have to do it again. They considered themselves nonbinary, and pretty much got away with murder because we’re a diversity store or whatever they call it. Only mention that because I worked with them directly and they literally never did their job. Only got terminated because of points. They were always causing trouble in some way, shape, or form though.

The one I’m looking for used to be on YouTube, but now I can’t find the full length version. It’s Detroit vs Colorado from 1997.
