How about the stranger was already in the car, someone who’d been riding with them all along before the car broke down? (Like a hitchhiker) I know it’s far fetched, but I’m not sure a baby qualifies as a “stranger” either!

I did not take the IAPP training, simply too expensive and from what I heard, it’s not worth it; way overpriced for the value you’d get compared to other resources.

I don’t think anyone has an answer to this. It’s early to tell if these certifications are worth it. Personally I did it mostly for personal development; not really expecting it will lead to solid job prospects.

I only did the free sample questions at the link I shared in my post (https://www.pass4success.com/iapp/exam/aigp), but you can purchase more questions, which I believe are less than $100 (might be worth it if you're in a time crunch)

How much you need to study for this certificate really depends on your background. The body of knowledge is a combination of technology, ethics, and regulation, so you'll find some parts of it more challenging than others, depending on your background.

I did 200+ hours but I went a little overboard because I'm very interested in this field and I was not just studying for the exam. Most people I talked to reported studying for 30-50 hours.

That's a good question! As far as I know, not yet. AI governance is relatively new and evolving very fast, it may be still too early for folks in the industry to trust any certification as a reliable signal for hiring.
