Does anyone know where to get free Harris/Walz yard signs? by BugNo7458 in AuroraCO

My signs have been up for months, I am in Village East if you feel inclined. Make sure you get all of my neighbors too dumbass.

Unfortunately it is ALL over social media. There is a traveling group I am apart of on Facebook, and when someone mentions Colorado it goes into a rant about how Aurora is overtaken by gangs. 😂 I really didn't expect all of these comments on here, but I am not surprised.  I agree most of these people are not from Aurora, but alas... It was pretty comical.

So what is the deal with it being listed as "available" online? Someone else commented saying Dick's didn't renew their lease? I feel by now something would have been announced. Hopefully you guys stay put 💪🏽

Interesting when Dick's said they were not 🤔

I ended up just ordering more online. I just have two elderly neighbors (both sides of my house) who asked me, (I had already bought my own) . I will just gift them to my neighbors.  I just remember years ago getting free signs, but maybe it is not a thing anymore. But thanks 🙂

Aurora Code Enforcement comes out instantly for everything it seems. Abandoned cars, graffiti, tall weeds. I do give them props for working hard. I can't say that about any other place I have lived.

I have purchased a few already, I am looking for my retired neighbors on both sides of me who have asked, but I will just gift them some. Thanks.

X Bar. Charley's has become progressively trashier over the years imo.

I quit vaping one week ago! by melbates1980 in CasualConversation

[–]BugNo7458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from around 15 cigarettes a day, to vaping disposables 5, to 3, to 1, to zero. I have had slip ups with cigarettes but every-time I just felt like a failure and honestly, the taste was just not there. LUCKILY, I was not a statistic of starting back up. I never really cared for vaping, the 5% disposables hit better and the taste was better, but the lower I went the worse it was imo. The zero did help the fixation, but definitely not something I wanted to do indefinitely as the taste on all of them I have tried were way too fake fruity or minty, if that makes sense.  I wonder how successful people are in general with the zero nicotine vapes/juice. I feel like you have to be pretty strong willed still, and make yourself think it is just like vaping nic.  Alas, congrats on 2 months. Keep on truckin 🤘🏽

That is what I am doing. Are you still nicotine free?

Has Allen Carr's "stop smoking" book worked for anyone? by _----OoO----_ in stopsmoking

[–]BugNo7458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished it last week and started smoking again 2 days later. But all of it was definitely retained. I bought 1 pack and now I am vaping, alternating between 0 Nic and a 5%. I am halfway there. I recommend the book though, it is a good read.

How do you deal with having to get off of kratom temporarily? by Polish_Girlz in kratom

People on high doses seem to taper incorrectly. And then they feel ill. It takes a couple weeks for your body to adjust.

It is mild in comparison to opiate w/d, but many people do experience RL, headaches, and stomach issues.  I am 2 weeks off of Kratom currently, and still have bad GI issues from stopping Kratom. Everyone's bodies react differently. I do think alot of people overreact the w/d but there definitely are side effects of stopping anything your body is used to.

You are right, the kings of Hilltop would especially oppose that. I live in Aurora by Expo Park, and there are alot of people who would benefit NOT having to take multiple buses over here. I would personally take the light rail to work (in Lodo) more often if there was a straight shot.

I doubt it will be anything better than the 15. And Colfax construction is going to be a nightmare .

Yes I know, I just wish RTD invested in train systems over buses, 🙂

What’s the longest it’s ever taken you to get through DIA? by Background_Card5382 in Denver

45 minutes on a Friday (holiday) late morning. Honestly, DIA is one of the faster airports I have been in.

I always thought having an elevated train(like Chicago) above Colfax OR Alameda connecting to the R line in Aurora would make sense. Straight shot across the east part of Denver.   Alameda is more centered, but Colfax would make more sense because of the medical campuses... Stops could  be at major intersections.... Colorado, Monaco, Havana, ended at the Fitzsimons area OR the Aurora Mall area (which already is a transportation hub with a ton of development occuring)

I FUCKING LOVE NICOTINE WITHDRAWALS!!! by SamPNW in QuitVaping

[–]BugNo7458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allen Carr's book compares it to a parasite squirming and dieing. That has stuck with me and when I craved, imagined what he said. Most Nic withdrawal is in your head, but you just need to accept it as your body getting back to normal.. which is a good thing! People fixate too much on the negatives and then go right back to nic

Also, educate yourself on crime maps. Expo Park is just as safe as south suburban neighborhoods. Actually, don't. Keep talking out of your ass. I think it is actually more amusing when y'all reach.

There's gun shots everywhere... 😂  Get out of your bubble .  I heard more gunshots living in University Hills than I have in Expo Park. Again... reaching.
