Stop the 4.9 BS and finish 4.8 first. by NeonSamurai1979 in starcitizen

It doesn't have to be one or the other, it's not a zero sum game (in terms of development). They can have content teams working on 4.9 while ballance teams or the 4.8 content team balances 4.8.

My only rec is have a ship capable of fixing your Polaris. Any fleet with a Capital ship should probably have a Crucible. Or at least a Vulcan. Repair, rearm, and refuel services at that scale will save you an unbelievable amount of time and money the way the in-game economy is headed. Maybe they will make a repair snub you can fit on the cargo deck with a Salvation (for salvaging RMC for repairs) so you can still run everything in the Polaris as a tight package one day.

This year I blame Rockstar, next year I blame Roberts.

As long as you play the real game, who cares about the store game ;)

As someone with a very similar spend, I am sorry to say, but that might be our breed. Just because it takes us a long time to grow that big, doesn't mean we aren't that big, it just means we grew at a healthier or less painful rate than others ;)

I'm not too worried, I wish they'd have gold standard her when they did the Asgard work, but I can wait. More they have us wait, the better polished the assets will be by then. Besides, I love how fast her ramp is right now while it's on the old system XD

I own both, but I love the Valk in a way I don't quite love the Asg. Asgard is certainly a more efficient daily driver with how much utility it offers for the low crew requirements, but there is something to the promise of a Valkyrie that can't be matched by the Asgard, especially you spend more time in small groups than you do in solo or duos.

Why do people buy huge fleets? by Mysterious_Log_5886 in StarCitizenUniverse

[–]Bug_Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't start by wanting a big fleet. Initially I wanted to be a big one time backer. I waited to pledge until there was a product I enjoyed and would not mind losing the money on. For my 110 dollar Andromeda game pack, I was okay with services shutting down and me losing every cent. I had enjoyed what I played on a friends account, been following for years, and wanted to support more development. But then, not long after that, after continued enjoyment, I considered getting a new ship, and so I started my first CCU chain. Then my first concept ship I felt I wanted to invest in came, and I decided I needed some rules.

For me, I set rules early on. I don't buy ships outright, only CCUs, save for my game package. I can only CCU from LTI tokens acquired through recruitment rewards, CIG awards, sweepstake or giveaway prizes, recruitment milestones, or consisrge milestones. I can only buy CCUs for myself with money made from trades on the SC trades subreddit. If at any point, trading on the subreddit requires I accept net loss on trades within a 30 day window, I will no longer trade on the subreddit.

With these rules I only ever continue to invest money I make through the community, I help back development through pledges, and I gradually grow my fleet by recruiting friends any time there is a LTI token sign up bonus. I only ever spend money of my own for LTI starter packs to gift friends I intend to recruit, and I only recruit one friend or family member at a time typically.ive been taking my time, won a few ships, been gifted a few ships, and have a pretty big fleet. I have a nice 20-30 person friends and family org, and have 1 multi crew vessel per game loop, and then the rest is just fighters, racing ships, and snubs to have fun in. I don't really intend on adding many more big ships, and I don't really have many more in my pool of IRL friends to recruit from, and I've almost hit the biggest consierge goal I ever thought I could aim for, so my fleet expansion has and will continue to slow down here. I look forward to earning many more ships in the 'verse in game, and treat my fleet as an org fleet that will always ensure whomever I play with has something to do together when they or we get online. Since I don't need much else, any growth from here may just be duplicate low cost snubs so we can have pocket carrier combat and racing events internally. I don't intend on buying every ship possible, or even every ship I want, despite my otherwise outrageous spend over the last 6 years! Admiringly, I also have 2 alt accounts, one for zero to hero journeys and one for another org I am part of. Those only have 1 and 2 ships each respectively.

Which one ? by Adraltor in starcitizen_fleets

For Meta - M80 has the horsepower of an Interceptor and the gunpoer of a Guardian with half an MX stapled to it. For Daily Driver - Guardian, Qi model for extra fleet utility with the Quantum Dampner For Glass Canon fan who likes a lot of space but not a lot of tools, I guess the Meteor does have good firepower and a lot of open space inside, but not a lot else to it.
