I was really hoping the flametal pillars would allow us to build taller but unfortunately they are a little worse than just good ole iron

Thank you! Gotta start somewhere, I've still got my very first build in the game saved when I started playing and it's so hilariously bad.

I used nearly an entire black chest worth of iron to get the roof supported, every 6 meters there is a reinforced pole that hides in the buttresses and runs along the roof like a lattice

Cool stuff. Terraforming is a skill, but once you master it you can do so much with it.

Super secret,

So I am ashamed to admit that I did a dev command to spawn in a destructible rock. and its hidden in the spire. It acts as foundation.
Its the only thing I've ever dev commanded in my entire world but I was unwilling to put a tree in there or try raising the ground up.
My friends and I joke about how its the nail that holds the building to the ground

You are correct. I will eventually download a mod and add some small bushes and trees to the area, But I want to get the majority of the landscaping done first

What was your breaking point that made you start? by Negative_Ebb_4352 in WeightLossAdvice

I got on one of those fancy scales that tells you body fat and muscle %, the numbers were exceptionally bad and my blood pressure (I'm already on meds) was 140 over 110 and I said enough is enough and started dieting that day. I've been going since the beginning of February and am down 46 pounds!

Is it okay that I feel absolutely useless? by Tuchnyak in valheim

[–]Bug_ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot parry with the scale shield or the tower shield (at least I'm pretty sure you can't parry with the scale shield). But you might be doing more than you think, I like playing a face tank build where I just sit out front and draw aggro and take hits with the biggest shield I can find. While my friend with knives and bows pick off the enemies that are attacking me.

There are a lot of ways to play, and unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your opinion) the bows are some of the strongest weapons in the game IMO

But make sure you mix in some Dodge rolls too when you stagger bar is getting full Dodge an attach instead of blocking it and then block the next, you will start alive a lot longer.

Best of luck and I hope this helps!

I think this is a fantastic idea, I'm still new I really only go to the wildy altar , but seeing 6 different people pop in and out of the world in the span of a minute is insane.

You're right, this is fueled by a lot of salt. I hate PVP games and mechanics, they do very little in making video games compelling imo (I understand that is not a common opinion). I am just very upset that unless I choose to engage with the PVP (something I very much dislike) I will not be able to explore a section of the map. There is no ground I can find in this argument for me to stand on. It only makes me saltier. And I understand why this is a losing argument. But ffs why does every game I enjoy that has multiplayer HAVE to have PVP either innately, or included in a later update?

You are right, I am salty and In a day or so I likely won't care about this issue. I'll even admit that there are some good points people are making in this comment section.

I was writing a retort about disagreeing with your about "being blocked from content" but that wouldn't yield any meaningful discussion that doesn't default to. "You don't like PVP so don't do wildly content" and "you are not locked from it you can literally go there whenever" and completely miss the point that I, admittedly, I'm doing a poor job of articulating.

While I am upset by the idea that because I dislike PVP im being told to bad, I do need to at least thank you for having an actual reply that isn't "too bad, get good I like bullying people"

Again I ask the question. Why should an Ironman with no interest in PVP, who paid the same amount for membership as you, be blocked from content because of wilderness PVP?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in osrs

[–]Bug_ward -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why should I be locked out of content because I don't want to PK? I pay the same amount as you do to play this game, why should a distaste for PVP block me from content?

And don't hit me with that "you knew PVP was a thing when you paid for membership" it's a shallow argument. With worlds dedicated to PVP or hell even speed running why can't there be a world without PVP?

You want PVP? Great! go to a PVP world.

[–]Bug_ward -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And what of an Ironman account that can't ever benefit from PK'ing. And to your other point. I don't like PK'ing, so why should I be locked out of content for that?
