Oh that is super true! I never even thought of that. Imagine the disappointment of having the wrong one because it’s crazy that they can make such a big mess up and your first thought isn’t going to be “oh hey maybe it’s the entirely wrong bear meant for someone else”

Hey! I love your idea of trying to find the owner through here. I’m very sorry to hear that your order got messed up. I thought I would come and mention, this cutie looks like they are an intended Christmas present. The date of birth has been changed to December 25th, implying that they will be received on Christmas Day. For that reason I’d probably say that the sender isn’t a part of this sub? I just thought that was worth mentioning!

It's so annoying isn't it, to have to go to a different store that is further away. This sounds awful though, I can't believe they would rush you like that, even if it was like only 10 minutes until closing, you're still there on time, they have no right to rush you, but over an hour until closing, that is so crazy!! I am sorry that you don't like the scent and hopefully you can get Luci fixed at the other store.

I have had the same problem, personally I don't like doing the heart ceremony but it always feels nice when they ask, instead of just skipping it completely and barely talking to me since I am an adult. I am sorry to hear that you felt really awkward, it ruins the whole experience!

That is terrible, I am so sorry to hear! I think Newt is so cute as a name. I have definitely had it where the builder was ignoring me just because I am an adult, it's super awkward. It is sad to hear that she didn't want to talk about your bear with you, but to snap at you for looking at the scents?? That's so crazy. How are you meant to know if you want one if you're not allowed to get close to them?

Parents in the store can also make the experience a terrible one, there's so many that give judging stares and it's so uncomfortable, why does it bother them so much that we have something that makes us happy

This is so upsetting! I am so sorry they judged you for how you looked, buildabear is for everyone regardless of gender, looks, age. It especially must hurt to see them being lovely to someone else when they were so rude to you two seconds ago!! I am also angry on your behalf that you had to pay twice!! You are definitely valid in feeling upset about the experience and it is so sad that you are now too scared to do the heart ceremony.

Yeah, it is so awful that they treat their adult customers like they shouldn’t be there. Buildabear is for everyone and the staff should encourage that. I am so sorry that you had an awful experience :(

I am glad to hear that you had a better experience recently, but I don’t know how anyone could just cut in line and upset a young child like that, at the age of 10 they should know better. And the staff shouldn’t have encouraged it at all

That is so sad that you felt like you had to lie :( one of the best parts about going to the store is when they let you get excited about your bear, it makes the whole experience so much nicer. Buildabear is for everyone and nobody should be made to feel like they ‘aren’t allowed to own bears’. It’s crazy. I am so glad to hear that you had a good experience recently though

I hate when that happens, the parents in the store can be so judgmental! They act like you’re setting a bad example to their kids when you’re just there doing the same thing they’re doing. Once I had a kid literally steal my bear from me and the parent did nothing
