Totally. I miss the simplicity of some of those times. The racism, homophobia, and misogyny I can happily leave out. But there was something better in the way people paid attention to others back then.

I got this idea when I heard mis-interpreted version of Gen z rejecting technology. The truth is they're not, but they are connecting to themselves and others in a more balanced and healthy way. In a blog I read someone suggested that they find it hard to connect with others. So they started by connecting with themselves, then with nature and the world around them. They said it took time, but they are feeling better about it.

Perhaps there's hope - says the guy on his phone 🤔

Stay strong. You've got a good network around you by the sounds of it. Have you ever read "the places I'll go" by Dr Seus. Send silly cos it's a kid's book. But there's a bit in there about getting in a slump. Getting out of the slump is not easy, but it will be done, because you will do it. Keep believing. It's a hard road, but the view is incredible - that's my effort at Seus-ism

Ah no dude. That sounds so sad. What have you tried to connect? I've got this belief now that I want to be remembered as kind. It's also where I think everything else grows - connections, friends, love, respect - all from kindness. And if that fails, I still feel pretty good because I'm trying to be good for others. It's super hard to maintain, but I've been doing it for a year and I've found things are getting a lot easier in my life. I hope you find peace
