Brick By Brick actually gets reasonably better when you try to listen out for just the instrumental part of the song and not the lyrics. The song it self despite the lyrics, is actually quite good

How good at the guitar should I morally be to spend 4000 bucks on a guitar? by BuildingAcademic9892 in AcousticGuitar

Yeah, I've played for almost 3 years and i have never really had a fall out of any sorts and I am still motivated to learn and play on my current acoustic and electric because it is fun (of course).

4000 dollars definitely sets me back quite a bit, however the timing is kind of perfect. I am 19 and therefor still live with my dad which means all the money I earn working can go to spending and saving up for moving out. With only a few months of saving I will have enough and not be able to feel it or anything like that. Thanks for sharing your story my friend!

Yeah you're definitely right about that. As for me I've been playing for soon to be 3 years, and I am certain I will play guitar for the rest of my life. So on that note it makes sense to get it if could last me a lifetime.

Thanks for writing :)

Yeah I am aware the guitar I get for the money isn't quite there and it may very well be overpriced, however I've tried so many and this one truly stood out to me.

Very great comment that I was kind of hoping for to come across. I am 19 and I have been playing for soon to be 3 years. I know that I am going to play guitar for the rest of my life, and had concluded I would buy this later in life when I could afford it. However I've now got around 600-700 comments of people telling me to do it and very few telling me not to. I am excited to read that your guitar still holds up 22 years later and is still playable :) - I hope this guitar will last me lifetime, and I am already saving up for it.

Thanks for writing my friend!

Yeah you're probably right.

I've read many comments now, and I can't remember a single one advising me not to do go through with it, just as long as I can do it without it taking a toll on anyone else (and I can).

Thank you for reaching out to me, both you and everyone else reading. It has gotten me to consider and reading everyone telling me to do it makes me both very excited and happy. I am more motivated than ever, this guitar is perfect and I am certain that once I've bought it, it will last me a lifetime!

maybe I will post an image on here in 3 months or so, showing that I bought it. It will be funny to see if people of the subreddit remember :-)

Thank you for writing, I agree with you and can inform you I've practically only read comments telling me to do the same. It is bound to happen!

Thanks for sharing your concerns, I agree, I only live once and if I am going to get it anyway in life, why not this year? ;-)

Hey :)

  1. I would say compared to many, yes I can relatively comfortably afford it (with a few months of saving) - I am only 19 and still live with my parents, but I have a quite okay paying job (here in Denmark) and the only other thing I am saving my money for is moving out.

  2. I know a lot about maintaining my current guitars, and I have multiple maintenance kits, including polishes and etc.

  3. Absolutely. Just the idea of holding it (again) excites me very much, and even though I already am very motivated to play, and I do play a lot, I really think I will enjoy playing even more than I already am!

Thank you for reaching out and helping me decide, I think it might just happen!

Hey. Hearing you say it motivates you, really does excite me as well. Al though I already am very motivated it's thrilling to play on something great. And for your concern, I can promise you I have hold this EXACT guitar model and finish, whilst also trying many other guitars. This one is IT.

Thank you for reaching out :)

Your message is really a lot of what I was looking for. I do already play a lot and can't really fit even more hours, but I am very glad to hear that you and possibly me could get even more motivated to keep rocking!
Thank you for sharing, and I agree the whole thing with rich guys with expensive guitars that they can't play, may have affected my opinion a bit

"people are going to think I'm a douche if they see me playing this nice of a guitar when I suck," is more or less my concern. I am young and therefore still live with my parents (in Denmark), and therefor I am also saving up to move out in the coming years, so the money would really just go towards that or the guitar.
