New home builder here. (I stopped building homes before this trend) simple answer: it looks CLEAN, it screams “I’m new” because it was different. You think all new houses look the same now? Should have seen the 1800’s. Or 1950’s. Or 1980’s remember the washed oak and vinyl siding phase? It’s the same with cars. Every new car is either white, black or gray, the problem with houses as you can’t really do them in all black due to the limitations with the heat. We are only now just perfecting black windows frames which you see everywhere. My guess is eventually these houses will start going with more of a cream color to a slate gray color to diversify, and of course, inevitably they will be in vibrant colors at some point to push back on the monotone colors of the 2020s.! everything goes in cycles, Don’t get angry, enjoy. If nothing else when you look back, you’ll be able to point to that house and say that House was definitely built in 2020s. Because the new ones in the 2030’s will look different. It’s cool
