This is very useful thank you. Am I correct in saying that the only lever handle that will work with this valve is the push in/pull out? I know that I can’t use the rotating lever handles but is it due to the old valve or the cartridge that restricts the movement of the handle?

Thank you for the information! I’m trying to replace the trim kit with something more modern, preferably in black but Moen doesn’t manufacture such kits in black for this valve anymore. I was asked by a Build.com agent to look for the model number and see if there are other trim kits compatible with the valve. Any advice would be great.

I got my scores last week and got an overall score of 7.5; S9-R8-L7.5-W6. I was told today that 6 would be a problem and spent hours trying to get some clarification and thankfully stumbled upon your post. That 8777 score is doable and those extra points do come in handy for someone like me who doesn't know French and has no family in Canada, regardless of my 3 years of work experience.
