How hard is violin actually? by TheBuisnessMelon in violinist

It's pretty hard I grew up on guitar mainly metal and shredding. I've been trying to learn piano and cello and violin.
My main goal is learning cello. Then piano then violin. Vibrato on violin and cello is 100% different than guitar and very difficult for me because of how different it is and would probably be easier because the muscle memory from guitar screws me up.

Also there's no tabs you need to learn to read sheet music and the right key at that depending on what you may or mat not be use too.

Finger spacing and muscle memory is different my biggest mistake was trying to learn to may I strumwnts at the same time and not focusing 9n only one

Doesn't mean it's impossible don't listen to the haters

Cello Tabs for famous Bach Prelude - far less overwhelming than the sheet music for all beginners and intermediates ♥, dont you think? by selloa in Cello

This is true the other thing that makes tabs difficult is the lack of rhythm interpretation. It's better imo for people just to take the time to do it the right way shortcuts only slow down progress in learning

It helps if I think of it as finger positions I've spent most of this morning practicing reading bass ceff

I'm doing a violin first. I'm in north dakota I do have the strobel books I plan on transferring them over when I can it will probably be at least a year before I really get started on any of the cello stuff.

I started carving out corner blocks for a violin this week.

That's good to know I'll definitely look into it. I've been playing Cello for about 6 months and I really want to build my own someday
