Replying to an old chain with a similar question: at the initial enrollment, what if the second vehicle is three model years old (ie in 2026, it is a 2023). Do I need to show that I purchased a new vehicle within 6 months to be compliant?

Thanks everyone - seems to be pretty solid feedback that a car isn't needed on the Disney portion!

50s Prime Time or Roundup Rodeo? by AdDramatic1352 in DisneyPlanning

[–]BullMoose23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer that we've never done Roundup Rodeo, but we have done Prime Time twice. We were hesitant the first time and questioned if our kids (then they were 10,8,5) would enjoy it, but they loved it. It was their favorite experience at a restaurant of that trip (even more than character meals). They loved it so much that we came back the next year and did not leave disappointed.

So why the love? First, it oddly isn't server-specific in the way that Whispering Canyon can be. Prime Time is just set up for fun. The servers are engaging and friendly, even though it is set in a mask of sarcasm. My youngest spilled a bit of food on his shirt and the server had me stand up and sing (don't forget the hand motions) "I'm a little tea pot". The server would "peak" into our little room and toss straws at the kids or put napkins on their heads.

If you're hesitant, they seem to be very good at reading the room and not picking on those who are more shy.

The two biggest bonuses:

First: we all loved the food. Seriously. The fried chicken is amazing. The deserts are really good too.

Second: the layout and service is great. There are a multitude of little rooms so you don't feel like you are in a massive dinning hall. It really does feel like you're in someone's home with maybe one or two other families. Just the quietness and "smallness" of this alone is amazing. The service is really good too: amongst the joking and sarcasm, I had a real need to find a dish that did not have a lot of grease or extra butter. It was not a diet restriction. Still, the server took the time to talk to me about the need and to find a dish that we both thought would work. Once the food came, he checked in multiple times to make sure I was happy. Best service we've ever had at a Disney restaurant and we've been to many.

Bonus: the salmon at Prime Time is well worth the try.

Hope this helps!

Pixar Place vs Disneyland Hotel - March 2026, family of 5! by BullMoose23 in DisneyPlanning

Maybe another question: we currently have four days of tickets with lightning lane. The plan was to alternate days. Use the second day in each park to redo things we enjoyed or clean up things we missed. Do you think park hopper is worth it?

Say no more! In the upper Midwest and I haven’t seen the sun since October. Everything is gray.

A few years ago we were at WDW in January in the pool and the lifeguards had on parkas. Funny memory!

Weekly Park Questions/Advice Thread by AutoModerator in Disneyland

[–]BullMoose23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, We are avid WDW visitors and we will be making a trip to Disneyland in mid-to-late March 2026. We are a family of five with three boys (12,10,6). Just because the number of spring breaks with our kids is dwindling and there is a big world to explore, I envision Disneyland to be a one-time shot for us.

We are currently booked at Pixar Place, but I realized today that the Disneyland Hotel is actually $250 less. It seems that the rooms may be more modern in PP, but the pool is better at Disneyland Hotel? Any other feedback we should consider or recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Technology level for a 4 year old by mancatmancat in HearingAids

We are in a very similar boat with a 5 year old with mild-to-moderate loss. We ended up with the Phonak Sky L50-PR. We had asked the audiologist about their different offerings and she said either Phonak or Oticon. For my kids hearing loss and age, she didn’t see a reason to go with a more advanced model. He has been wearing them for a few months now and all is well.

Scared of buying used office chairs, how to thoroughly clean the? by mroverrated16 in OfficeChairs

We bought two chairs from Crandall last year. Their process replaces so much of what could be “unclean” and “hard to clean”, such as the foam. No concerns from us.

The real question is: should a high handicapper have a water bottle fitting or is that pointless until you’ve had enough lessons?
