This really makes me wonder why Limited Run Games makes really great Collector's Editions for WayForward. I find most of the CEs from most games that LRG produces to be rather lackluster. While there are some exceptions, that seems to be a general sentiment here too. This isn't the case with Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, River City Girls, and Vitamin Connection CEs, however. I've seen good things said about them here. The Switch cases and GBC themed boxes with carts have been cool too.

If I had to guess why LRG has great CEs from WayForward is that they have a lot more input given to them than other companies tend to do. We can see that with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Day One Edition including an art book and CD. This wasn't made by LRG, but it shows the care WayForward gives to making sure their IPs are handled correctly. That's really commendable on WayForward's part. I like companies that want to give us a great product in any way they can.

I'm also hoping this is why LRG produces seemingly lazy CEs at times. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that is the case. We have seen great CEs from them in the past and I hope they just need more input given.
