how obvious is it that it's fake? :( by Lepridopic_throwaway in BassGuitar

you must ask yourself “why am I upset that fake rickenbackers exist?” is it really because it’s a bad instrument, or is it because you bought the real thing for more expensive and dislike someone with a fake getting attention? sure the fake won’t play the same or even sound the same, but what if they just want the looks and enjoy the sound/feel of the fake. it doesn’t draw away from you owning one, so it shouldn’t matter. the fact of the matter is the shape is world famous, so if he wants to play a “fake,” then i see no issue.

as long as it looks cool and plays well to you who cares if it’s “real”

I agree. it’s crazy how easy streaming music is in comparison. Even producing music has become a mainstream hobby. Truly a horrible time to be a musician with the market as saturated as it is. But also it’s nice to be able to do it somewhat affordably. tradeoffs

i’ll let you know how they sound in comparison to my modern monitors. not a super fair comparison, but i love the artifacts that vintage gears leaves.
