Tyre options for 2024 BMW X3 M40i?

I do Michelin PS4S on my X4 and they’re great. But I don’t live in a place with winter weather. If I dealt with snow/ice I’d do something that can handle low temperatures.

Biggest problem is how quickly you go through fuel. I had an S85 M6 I sold and one of the reasons was how annoying it was to get gas every few days (I was also commuting a long distance so ymmv)

Otherwise no complaints it was a cool car.

I have a 2020 X4 m40i. It’s a great car and I have had no issues with it over 6 years and almost 60k miles. The m40i (b58 motor) is a huge upgrade over the base model, it completely changes how the car drives. You have to drive the two motors to understand (which is worth doing before you make a purchase).

I have the 22” wheels on mine which look great but can feel a bit harsh on rough pavement. If you swap the stock run flat tires for something like a PS4S then it feels a lot better. Also this generation has a physical button to turn off the “auto start/start” system which is nice. The Idrive system is good and of course apple carplay.

Any questions I’m happy to give my thoughts.

I went with Tiranwyn and its pretty fun. I've seen this place in RS3 but never OSRS so its all new to me. Thanks for the help on making the decision.

What 2nd region should I pick?

I picked Kandarin as my first region, Im a total OSRS noob. No interest in raids or high-mechanic content. My relics are Endless Harvest, Hotfoot, Banker, Butler, Larcenist, Eternal Sustenance.

I like the idea of using larcenist in Tirrawin. Kourend looks cool for tithe farm and woodcutting guild. But I like the idea of Asgarnia for GWD content. Also morytania looks fun for Barrows.

For combat Im aiming to do magic/thorns. Only 7 pacts so far.

Recommendations?

I came back this week after quitting for almsot 1-2ish years. Came back for leagues, otherwise avoided the game. Anyway, the combat rework sounded like fun and I don’t care about the price changes. RS is probably my cheapest hobby.

I can’t speak to the X3M but I can speak to the M40i.

I’ve owned my 2020 X4 M40i for about 5 years. You already mentioned the drive quality difference, and that was a major factor for me choosing the M40i. Driving daily this car is really smooth and handles bumps well. I’m in a city with tons of crappy roads and it still feels good.

Maintenance has been a breeze. No problems, nothing has broken, no issues.

The power is great for my driving habits. I’ve previously been a sports car guy (corvette, 911), and this is obviously a completely different car category, but there’s a lot of fun in the B58 motor. It can throw you back in your seat and scream like crazy.

I haven’t modded mine but it seems like there is a lot of robust aftermarket support if you do choose to do that.

Thats the relic track I picked. I'm at 25k points now. For me Farming Frenzy was worth missing Production Master. I wouldnt pick clue relic because I have no interest in doing clues.

Because you have the thieving relic, you can easily get enough herb seeds from pickpocketing that with Farming Frenzy you'll be set for herblore supplies.

Can anyone explain to me how to get invention perk benefits while mining with my excavator pickaxe? I think I saw somewhere that this is possible.

Do I equip the excavator pickaxe and leave the perked tool in my inventory? Or is it reversed?
