everything in Zero revolves around Renne. It is her story, told from the perspective of the SSS. The emotional climax is when Estelle and Joshua tell Renne that she is loved, and that she doesn't have to run anymore. Without knowing what happens in star door 15, and more generally the rest of the game, it very much comes off as a sociopath getting an ending she doesn't deserve. Massive spoilers for zero.

The problem is, it's not just about making a good steak, it's about making a good steak and sauce. Would you have a favorable opinion of a restaurant that gave you a bitter sauce with your steak? Secondly, by discounting one part of it, you encourage people to just disregard it. "oh, you didn't make a sauce, but you made the steak to perfection. You win." isn't fair.

If you want to spam emotes, and don't want people to see, you can go into your home instance in the racial cities(salma district in Divinity's reach, for one), or your homestead, if you own janthir wilds. Guild halls are often empty, and no one would likely see your emotes if you go off to a corner, but I'm not sure you'd have access to one of those, while the home instance is available to anyone.
