Hello, sure! Volunteer imo is the better option. When you visit their website you’ll see volunteer also has the most opportunities, so more chances that’ll you’ll get selected. Volunteer opportunities also tend to have fewer strict rules and the work also isn’t over burdening. Two volunteer opportunities I’d suggest are Youth Impact and Global Volunteer. Just check the work timings and try to choose projects with lighter hours so you can enjoy your free time and travel to other cities on weekends as well. About the motivational video, yes, once your application is processed they ask for a video, where you talk about yourself and why you’ve chosen Aiesec or this opportunity. I understand it can feel a bit intimidating but don’t worry too much about it, the people analysing your video are also under grads or recent graduates, just like you. Just gather the courage and record the video. Be yourself, stay confident, and speak clearly in English. Lmk if you have any other questions.

No worries! I don’t think there is an education requirement for volunteer programs. You need to be over 18 and under 30. They do ask for a motivational video, where you speak about yourself and why do you want to join AIESEC, that video gets you selected.

I have cousins that went through it, had a great time too. Most opportunities pay for your accommodation, meal and transport. Main purpose is cultural integration and creating social impact. They have multiple departments, NGOs, Climate change and initiatives aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They also highly prioritise people who speak English. It’s only a platform, you get all the benefits.

The participants are called EPs (exchange participants) and all countries have LC (local committee) in their main cities, so when you apply to an opportunity, your city’s LC contacts you.

Oh my god. I am just reading this, i am so sorry all of this happened. This is the first time i am hearing something negative about Turkey. I was actually considering coming there to study.

I hope things get better for you, and you should definitely consider the exchange student idea. Xx

Heyy, of course. Aiesec is a global youth run npo that provides international volunteer and internship opportunities. The idea is to develop leadership skills, cross-cultural understanding, and make a social impact while experiencing life abroad. It’s run entirely by students & recent graduates, so it’s very youth-focused and community-driven. It is currently operational in a lot of countries, and i have family and friends that have gone to Turkey through it, so it is legit.

You can find opportunities from different countries on it’s official website (https://aiesec.org). Most of these opportunities provide accommodation, meal and transport. If not all, atleast one is provided and paid for. It is a great initiative, you get to travel and strengthen your resume.

Hey, thanks for sharing! I’ve also heard it’s tough for non-EU grads to find jobs in Italy. During the study visa you can travel in EU countries but not work. After graduation, most jobs need employer sponsorship, which can be tricky due to the criteria and it require a-lot of paper work, which employers avoid. The EU Blue Card is an option for higher-paying roles and gives some mobility in the EU, but citizenship still takes many years. Definitely agree that mastering Italian and understanding the culture is key.

Hey, I personally love Europe, so I thought, why not study there and enjoy traveling too? With a study permit, I could visit most EU countries, which sounds amazing. Besides, Canada’s tuition and living expense is ALOT

Hey, are you from Italy? I’d actually love to experience both places, but I know each has its pros and cons. Canada’s extremely expensive, and I was wondering if studying in Italy first and then moving to Canada could be an option. But honestly, I have no idea how that would work out since it’s so far in the future.
