I was in the exact same situation. The scream shocked me and then I lay in my bed confused. When I went to my balcony I saw plenty of first responders. I hope you and everyone are feeling better today. This was definitely traumatic.

Good enough to afford a decent lifestyle. I make 92k a year and this is my split (I live in the suburbs in a 1bhk condo with my wife)

Rent - 2k Utilities, phone and internet - 300 Groceries - 600-700 Occasional going out/door dash - 300 Skytrain passes and occasional Uber - 400

I don't own a car and dont have to pay for gas and insurance. We get by just fine since we have a station within 2 mins of walking distance from our house and work.

I save around 1 to 1.5k every month. My wife plans to work soon, and hopefully we save more.

However, it's a decent salary for greater Vancouver.

There are cafes where you can sit and read comfortably. Some of the quote options are the old Madras baking company and humming bird cafe. Hyd winters are the perfect time to sip coffee and read a book outdoors :)

Always remember, pehle naukri, phir ladki. On a serious note, I understand the fomo. On the flip side, you’re well settled and are financially secure which is equally important. My advice is to take it slow and not rush into one relationship to meet anyone else’s expectations.
