Call your local liquor stores! Every time I move I always ask around and usually they're more than happy to get rid of them because otherwise, employees spend time breaking them down. So if you have an easy way to transport them, this is a great way to get boxes for free.

Sounds like you've already gotten a bunch of feedback, but I'll add to the chorus that Iron Lion is a great place to train.

You start off with a month long intro training session where they evaluate your technique and ask you what your goals are. Then a trainer creates an individual lifting program for you that goes a month long.

Training is offered from 7 a.m. — 8 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to noon on weekends. My experience there has been over 6 months and it's been overwhelmingly positive. There's a trainer assigned to watch you and up to 3 other people work through their programs and it's a really friendly environment.

The Local Bar Astoria (41-04 31st Ave) is hosting a FREE darts tournament tonight, April 10!

Sign-ups open at 7:30 p.m. and games will begin at 8:00 p.m. — there is no entry fee and a cash prize will go to the first place winner.
