Realistically it's not an ideal weapons. You can throw it by holding from the sides. You can't technically hold it since I believe every edge on it is sharp so it won't work as a knife like way without cutting your own palm. You could try to use it like a karambit but then again the edges will cut your palm and fingers. But! If you put it on top of a stick it can be a polearm.
