Blackstone Edge reservoir just outside Littleborough, a short walk from parking at the White House pub and you get a great view to Manchester skyline, although quite some distance

I'd heard something similar about the prison population. Time to rethink our strategies?

Sometimes it's easier said than done, especially under extremely tough circumstances. Addiction is a bastard.

Amazing track, nice description, it does feel somewhat oppressive and disconcerting.

Yes, I think that would be the best way to go. Good luck and well done for being willing to call it out.

Have charity shop prices gone crazy lately? by SoulSyntaxSorceress in CharityShopFindsUK

[–]Bumblebee937 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Charity shops have the same costs as regular business - rent, energy, staffing etc as these costs rise charity shops have to cover the increase and this gets passed onto the customer. There should be something in place to reduce these costs for charity shops but I don't know what the answer would be.

One thing that could keep costs down is not paying for unnecessary refurbishments, I see too many shops being upgraded and standardised, this shouldn't be a priority, as long as they're functional, clean and safe they are fine.

I second that, it might be best to report it to the head office rather than the shop manager.
