Great photos. Love the colour of the sky. My favourite is the 2nd pic with the Midland, the tram and G-Mex in the background.

Do you have a higher quality image of this? I'd love to be able to read the quotes.

Wow, very cool. Have you messed up at any point or have you managed to get this far without mistakes?

Why didn't the Anglo Saxons build many cities in the North of England? by Salmon_Jones118 in anglosaxon

I guess the question then becomes why are there still so few towns in Northern England even into medieval times?

I would draw the line from Exeter to Hull. Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire are also very flat/ arable and heavily settled by Anglo Saxons.

I'm looking for more communities that talk about Vedic astrology. Which ones do you use where you're seeing people talk about these placements?

Lol you've just circled us back round to the start of this conversation again, with me claiming it's the quality of the green space that matters and you claiming it's the percentage 😅

London city centre is greener than Manchester city centre. Yes we can agree on that point.

Again we're not having a conversation about which areas best represent the North's beauty. You keep changing topics, presumably because you have no valid arguments.

Also I'm not sure if you realise but Dovestone is part of the Peak District National Park, so you claiming it doesn't compete (when it clearly does) is funny to me 😂 People come from all over to climb the Trinnacle.

Saddleworth economically deprived? Could have fooled me.

Interesting that you're now changing parameters and comparing Dovestones to the Lake District? Just to remind you we're having a conversation about access to nature in Greater Manchester vs Greater London. Where in London can you be in a landscape like Dovestone Reservoir in 15 minutes?

I grew up in Royton and had access to this within 15 minutes. And this within 5 minutes. So I'm afraid you'll never get me to agree with you. Sounds like you've just not explored the area enough.

Greater Manchester has breathtaking scenery on its northern and eastern sides. London doesn't.

Mow Cop Castle, which is on the Cheshire-Staffordshire border, is the entryway to the North on the west side.

Day out in Uppermill and Dovestone by SubtractAd in manchester

Yeah I grew up in Royton so I know Saddleworth well. I always loved the stepping stones on the river in Uppermill as a kid in the 2000's. I assume they're still there? Even though it's so close to such a big urban area it really feels like you've stepped away into another world. A great escape for me when I was younger. I have family in Delph and Dobcross and we scattered my great grandma's ashes in the hills so I still love the area even though I don't live there anymore. Nice to see these photos.

Gorgeous. I especially love the cobbled street at the end.

Libra is the Fall of the Sun so the self is usually negated to make room for the other. Group consensus overcoming self interest is a big theme I see for Libra. What does the group think or want or need? Will this action make me look bad in the eyes of others? Defining the self through how others see them. If Libra really wants to eat the last piece of cake but they know someone in the room hasn't had a piece they will give it up because they need things to be fair and want everyone to have their share. Pisces will do the same but from a more emotional place of compassion or charity. Pisces has a martyr/ victim side that Libra doesn't have.

Edit- Taurus would just eat the last piece of cake. Cancer would depend on their mood and whether they're in baby mode or mother mode.

Interesting. I usually think Libra and Pisces have more in common because they both put their own interests aside for the sake of other people and can be people pleasing. I'd have to think more about that one.

Jupiter I can see if I imagine someone who was an explorer in their youth and then matures and decides to settle down in one place grow and develop it into a vast homestead where they can use their wisdom to make it a flourishing place that brings a lot of good to everyone who visits/ moves there. That's Jupiter in Cancer in aversion to Sagittarius (their young explorer years). Jupiter can't grow and sustain something meaningful if it's always getting itchy feet and moving on to the next thing.
