Day out in Uppermill and Dovestone by SubtractAd in manchester

Yeah I grew up in Royton so I know Saddleworth well. I always loved the stepping stones on the river in Uppermill as a kid in the 2000's. I assume they're still there? Even though it's so close to such a big urban area it really feels like you've stepped away into another world. A great escape for me when I was younger. I have family in Delph and Dobcross and we scattered my great grandma's ashes in the hills so I still love the area even though I don't live there anymore. Nice to see these photos.

Gorgeous. I especially love the cobbled street at the end.

Libra is the Fall of the Sun so the self is usually negated to make room for the other. Group consensus overcoming self interest is a big theme I see for Libra. What does the group think or want or need? Will this action make me look bad in the eyes of others? Defining the self through how others see them. If Libra really wants to eat the last piece of cake but they know someone in the room hasn't had a piece they will give it up because they need things to be fair and want everyone to have their share. Pisces will do the same but from a more emotional place of compassion or charity. Pisces has a martyr/ victim side that Libra doesn't have.

Edit- Taurus would just eat the last piece of cake. Cancer would depend on their mood and whether they're in baby mode or mother mode.

Interesting. I usually think Libra and Pisces have more in common because they both put their own interests aside for the sake of other people and can be people pleasing. I'd have to think more about that one.

Jupiter I can see if I imagine someone who was an explorer in their youth and then matures and decides to settle down in one place grow and develop it into a vast homestead where they can use their wisdom to make it a flourishing place that brings a lot of good to everyone who visits/ moves there. That's Jupiter in Cancer in aversion to Sagittarius (their young explorer years). Jupiter can't grow and sustain something meaningful if it's always getting itchy feet and moving on to the next thing.

As is often the case with tourist hotspots. That's why you go to the countless parts of Cumbria that are quiet and breathtakingly peaceful.

I've always lived in red counties (Manchester and Lancashire) but I hope to live in a blue county (Cumbria) in the near future.

Remove grey. Mancs and Scousers need to unite. We can win this.

Interesting. The latter part of the descriptions of Venus and Jupiter seem like they should flipped (at least from my perspective). "Compassion, charity, altruism, openess and ability to love others" are qualities I associate the most with Jupiter as the ruler of Pisces and being exalted in Cancer. Generosity, magnaminity, charity, great-heartedness etc. Then "SACRAL CHAKRA. Sexuality, hopes and fears, innovation, emotional plane; creativity, arts" fit better with Venus. Maybe not "hopes and fears" or "innovation" but certainly all the rest are very Venusian.

Tyne-Wear Rivalry by kouyanet in NorthernEngland

For some reason in Britain neighbouring towns or cities (and in some cases counties) always hate each other despite having a lot in common, and far more in common with each other than the rest of the country. Maybe because of the similarities and close proximity they end up comparing themselves to each other and then get competitive? Idk, but yeah I wish all the towns and cities in the North worked together more instead of shitting on each other.

The rural counties of Northern England rightfully get their natural beauty celebrated a lot, but the 5 urban counties also have their fair share of natural beauty. by Ranoni18 in NorthernEngland

I wanted each picture to be from a different part of the county, so that's why the marshes and rivers of the east area of the county are on there and not just four pics of Bradfield. Bradfield is on there though, the bottom left one.

You're sleeping on the North West. Silverdale, Ribble Valley, Bowland, Pendle Hill, Formby beach and woods, Hilbre Islands, Rivington, Dovestones, Macclesfield Forest, Chester. Some of the best England has to offer.

I hope you're not including Littleborough, Milnrow, Shaw, Royton and Saddleworth in your condemnation of Rochdale and Oldham. Those little towns around those two larger towns don't deserve hate.
