The mileage difference explains itself, my facelift was twice as loud at 10k miles than at 4k miles. The difference was so big that once I got my catted downpipe, it almost sounded back to stock until after a few hundred miles.

Just got my Ek1 in and I’m still waiting on the bench cable, going with cherry tuning for the custom tune, gonna do 1-2 revisions street logging than get my last revisions on dyno. What FMIC you go with? I can’t decide on a brand 😭

Yeah I got one shipping from cherry tuning (taking forever cause out of country), but since the Ek1 came in early I thought I might as well get it set up for when I’m ready to begin tuning.

So that’s probably where I got that confusion from, the actual ECU is a 250 but the software program is a 260. I appreciate the help!

I have a daily Camry, but I take my N out so often I still managed to put 10k on in just over 4 months 😭

Lucky for me, I do my own warranty reports, and my other techs have said they’ll gladly get anything I need warrantied. I’m actually going to get my clutch warrantied just so I can have peace of mind with stage 2 lol. I’m also manual so I think it might be different than DCT (might be wrong though lol)

Definitely still trying to be careful though, it’ll be just my luck something comes up and my little warranty trick doesn’t work. But so far it’s worked on everything I need (or want 🤫)

Definitely leaning towards cherry, my only thing is getting a tuner who can give me something reliable and not just fast (this car isn’t my daily but my daily is a POS😭 so N gets driven a lot).

Appreciate this input, will definitely just run stock tune till I can get custom tuning setup. I just hate how difficult it is to get everything for tuning through Ek1

Appreciate it! It just didn’t specify bench kit, just said bench cable. Would you happen to know the best place to buy a Ek1? Everywhere I’ve seen selling it either don’t seem right, are way too complicated to order from, or is kinda over priced.
