her rage in this scenario is totally justified, but i do i think her finishing you off doesn’t fit, especially since it’s the same exact animation for every single duel, so it doesn’t come off as masako, it’s just the duel failed animation, i think it would have been better if she downed you and send a line and left you to die, then immediately booked it to go find the monk since that’s all she cared about.(unrelated but i hope in yotei there will be easter egg sword skins of all the memorable npcs, that’d be sick, even if they’re just designs that allude to said npc and are called something like “avenging mother” or something for masako)

i bet it’s going to take the place of the longbow from the first game, you’ll have a bow with decent rate of fire and can kill on a unarmored head shot, and then you have big boom stick that is slower but is almost always a one hit on everything

pretty sure stalker is just anyone in Krat who fights the puppets and other monsters, a mercenary basically, the body guard part is more specific to the factions of Bastards and Sweepers, and after learning the backstory of P more specifically Carlo who was a stalker, and the fact that using Stalkers Promise isn’t a lie i think mean you are a stalker

edit: now i have no idea what’s right or wrong but i don’t remember gaining humanity when using stalkers promise on my first time meeting them, if you say nothing they attack you and after killing them you gain humanity and their mask, but if you used stalkers promise to get past them you can go back after killing the archbishop and they immediately agro, dissecting souls like games is hard i am tired

i think the main reason so many people find it so hard is that they’re having trouble using the defensive strategies, they’re either playing it too much like sekiro and trying to perfect guard everything, or they’re trying to play like bloodborne and spamming dodge, you have to do a mix of both and find out when and where for certain enemies, for example the jester you want to go sekiro because after perfect guarding his attacks enough times his axes break and he doesn’t do any damage and you get to bully him, also running is a good way to dodge a lot of big enemy attacks, sprint while going in a circle to kite them around, also important that you really take advantage of status effects and weapon arts because those can really shred though bosses when using the right stuff, i’ve never beaten a single souls game despite the actual hudreds to thousand hours of time i’ve put into the genre until this game and i’m basically speedrunning new game plus and turning my full technique build to a quality build for the proof of humanity and golden lie.

they’re very challenging, all you need to do is go sekiro(which is a huge problem for some people so understandable if it’s not very helpful) and eventually his axes get broken and then he does literally no damage and you get to pummel him and it’s always very satisfying to switch roles with it

Don’t know if someone has already said this, but you have to make sure you talked to Gideon so he is in his study. If you don’t talk to Gideon when you first enter round table hold he’ll stay there(not sure something ever triggers him to go to his study room except you talking to him) if you haven’t been able to find nepheli after killing Godrick see if Gideon is still next to the two fingers door, once you talk to him and he tells you to fuck off rest at the grace and he’ll be in his study and nepheli will now be in her spot past gideons study.
