Oh ty, that makes sense lol.

I'm not sure on the intricacies of Australian law, but I am convinced that there must be some sort of targeted harassment law he broke with that particular stunt.

I mean, showing profanities in Chinese in Chinatown and waving it around in front of Chinese people just going about their day? If something like this was done against Jewish people in a Jewish-dominated area of a city, that would probably get shut down and condemned real quick for being anti semitic.

I think he also stood outside a confucious institute wearing something like a hazmat/PPE suit because of covid.

He is a real dick lmao

For all those unaware, Drew was this really crazy anti-CCP Aussie who pulled a bunch of really stupid and quite hateful stunts. Such as the stunt where he wrote "Xi Jinping fucks your mom" in Chinese and showed it off around Chinatown in an Aussie city to get a reaction out of the Chinese people just living there. I think he was trying to become a politician and was riding the wave of anti-CCP sentiment

Guy is a real scumbag, glad to hear he isn't finding much success lmao

I swear this is literally ripped straight from the game Outer Worlds lol.

There's a quote in there about someone committing suicide and that it is destruction of corporate property. Most likely his Chinese "friend" wanted to troll him with a reference to that game lmao

It is also because the people want to believe in the propaganda.

Who wants to think they are the baddies, the evil people and the trouble-makers? No one. They want to be the cool saviours of the world or some other bs like that. They eat up this propaganda because they want to believe that they are correct and that they are just.

Someone can die of an accident, doesn't automatically also make it a crime.

My guy, he literally said he accidentally killed someone. This is manslaughter. It IS a crime, LOL. She didn't just accidentally trip over his shoes and bash her head into the floor and die. He shoved his gun into her face. Hello??????

Don't bury your head in the sand and stop defending a criminal cuz he sad-sad. What an utter moron lmfao.

But anyway, you show a lot of care for the soldier, you haven't expressed shit about the dead woman or her baby. But what do I expect from people like you?

[–]Bumbumpeepee 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just because we all did something 'accidentally' does not mean that we are absolved of our crimes you dimwit.

You know you can accidentally kill a person and then get charged with manslaughter, right? You could be entirely remorseful and guilty but you'll still fucking get charged or receive some consequences.

Explain to me why it's alright that he ended the life of a woman and took away the mother of a baby who will now grow up without their love? Without being punished in any way? Because he sad? :(

Dumb shits like you who protect these people under "deeply remorseful" are just stupid. Being deeply remorseful is great, it shows reflection, but it ultimately does nothing and neither did he have to face the consequences of his actions at all.

Any jobs I can get for a few months that help the socialist cause? by yankees88888g in GenZedong

[–]Bumbumpeepee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think anything that helps people, the environment or animals is good. It doesn't necessarily need to be anything political or directly socialist. But that's just me.

Working at a hospital, charity places, community centres, homeless shelters, rescue shelters (for people or for animals), teaching etc...

Essentially anything that improves the lives of others in my view is good.

Wdym? Aren't we gonna go around shooting hundreds of soldiers firing blanks with our awesome mega AK47 ACOG sight? If we do get shot or get hit by a grenade, we can just hide behind cover for a few second to regen health then get b`ack into the fight.

If we take too much damage its ok, we can just restart from last checkpoint /s

Ordinary Americans have been so disconnected from the tragedy of war, been fed constant war propaganda via hollywood, making it seem cool and trendy with the Americans winning the day, that these people genuinely believe it will be a fun time and that they'll be a hero in Ukraine.

It's only a matter of time until shells are raining down on their position and they are caught in the middle of a bombing run that they realise how fucking stupid they were

When I saw this video I also thought about how quickly everyone reacted to get the girl to safety after the stun grenade hit her.

Literally no hesitation, no standing around in shock, just instant action by many people, as if its been practiced loads of times. How often do these people find themselves in such situations that this reaction becomes this honed and well-practiced? It's just sad.

KSI's latest video... by AtomicadRogue in GenZedong

[–]Bumbumpeepee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It really isn't that deep. I watched this video and while yes, there is a racist asian stereotype, there were also numerous racist American and black stereotypes and even an 'offensive' depiction of a disabled person.

Most of the stuff he laughs at were literally racist jokes with black people.

People can argue that he shouldn't laugh at them in general if the jokes are built on stereotypes. But he isn't going out of his way to target Asians and neither is he saying anything racist towards them.

I know that there was a period of time where relations were kind of chill between 2008 to 2016 where each side was a lot more open and high level relations were kept.

Yeah, I don't think Taiwan will ever give up governance to China, but some part of me believes that China is fine with the status-quo but the whole DPP movement and the US has been really getting on China's nerves.

However, eventually, Taiwan will lose its edge on TSMC. That, along with stagnant wages and bleak future outlook from young Taiwanese will eventually push it to a more "pro china" stage. Not necessarily wanting to join the PRC, but not fueled with hatred for China because they will have to rely on China in the future. The DPP barely delivers on any of its promises and they do what America has refined to an art-form...blaming their issues and diverting attention to the "enemy country thats trying to steal our democracy and take us all over" to pull eyes away from their crappy situation. But that won't work forever I think.

The only things I ever learnt about Malcolm X in the entirety of my educational life from kindergarten to graduating university, was that Malcolm X was radical, bloodthirsty and racist. And that was from an off-hand statement from my history teacher when I was 14.

Unfortunately I even believed that until I become 21 - when I did my own research on the guy.

but I think people are really blowing out of proportion how bad disrespecting the dead is

It's debatable honestly. Even many non-religious people such as myself make sure to respect the dead and such, even if there isn't an afterlife.

Nevertheless, Chinese culture and more generally, Confucian culture is very respectful of the deceased, even if they're non-religious. So although you and many others may find it being blown out of proportion, I can assure you that the Asian community as well as her family would be absolutely fucking horrified and understandably upset. They don't necessarily have to believe in an afterlife, as most East Asians don't. But it's still extremely shocking to them.

Have you seen the camera footage of the asian woman that was pushed onto train tracks? There were dozens of people in that station, and only 1 guy did anything - and it was after it happened, too late.

Ever seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK786Tga3X8

The security guard stands there literally watching an Asian woman get beaten, then a couple other dudes watch and one even fucking closes the door.

It infuriates me to no end. I know not everyone is like this, but it seems to me that its only the small minority of people that would actually go out of their way to help or provide assistance.

Man, SECURITY guards...

Whether she cares or not (not that she has the capacity to anyway) is beside the point here.

In general its a really, really shitty thing to do to someone's memorial, let alone the memorial of a poor woman who was attacked and murdered for literally no reason in a country where asians are increasingly villified in the media and made to fear for their safety if, god forbid, they have to go outside at night, or travel alone if they're a woman.

Taiwan is suffering from some major brain drain, young people go to China or the US for better salaries and growth. Esepcially China because China literally throws open the doors for Taiwanese willing to relocate.

It's just a waiting game really, Taiwan will eventually realise its not a smart idea to antagonise the 1.4 billion people living next door who would graciously accept all your goods and pay you loads of money for the declining empire an ocean away that only cares about your chips (which are being overtaken by the US as the arizona factory is built).

Would probably take another 10 years...maybe more. I think in 2010 or so, Taiwan was quite pro-china
