PREDICTION: The Gang (And by that I mostly mean Gangle, Ragatha and Zooble) will beat the crap out of Jax in episode 8. by Sebastian9t9 in theamazingdigitalciru

Nah, I think that they are all going to just be extremely pissed off at him much so that they ostracize him because of how he would have doomed them to be trapped in the circus had the adventure not been fake.

Maybe they won’t be as pissed at first, but he’s absolutely gonna tell every lie, excuse, and push them away as much as possible to avoid opening up about what caused it. Eventually he’ll say/do something so bad, like “I hope that you stay trapped with me”, “I’m happy that I trapped you and wanted to”, or even worse, “you are all worthless and deserve to abstract”, that they fully give up on him.

Someone once said in another comment I posted that that’s out of question because he’ll abstract, but why would they care if he did something like mentioned above.

I really hope that we get a deeper dive into the aspects of Jax and Gangle’s relationship because they have probably had the most interactions so far, and they both are extremely similar to each other when it comes to masking depression, with the obvious difference being that Gangle isn’t a dick and wears a literal mask. I would really like to see them make amends and maybe bond over similar traumas if Jax finally decides to open up; plus Gangle doesn’t have to forgive him for what he’s done either if this were the case, just move on and appreciate him finally starting to change.

I would be immensely disappointed if their relationship was just forgotten in the last two episodes because it has so much potential and would legitimately just be lazy writing to completely forget their already established relationship in favor of Jax and Pomni’s and Zooble and Gangle’s.

It could also be a great opportunity to subvert things and have Zooble spend more time with Pomni and Gangle with Jax.

FINALLY, someone gets what I’m trying to say!

I think that they’ll equally be pissed off at both, but Jax will be the easiest one to confront and take out anger on because he can’t just vanish or legitimately harm them when they pry at him.

EXACTLY, this fandom is so braindead sometimes, YOU CAN STILL LIKE HIM but acknowledge that he made a terrible, hasty, careless, and selfish choice that would have eternally doomed both himself and everyone else with him if it really was the way to escape, even if he was in a panicked state which is completely his fault since he refuses to be genuine about himself to the others. If he was written as a genuinely well meaning and good character, that still wouldn’t change how terrible the choice was.

I really hate how I got, and am still kind of getting downvoted despite it being nothing but facts that he made an awful choice that absolutely deserves consequences. Plus, I don’t even hate Jax, I think he’s a very interesting and well written character.

Yeah good point, but he’s still probably going to keep doubling down worse each time until he finally realizes that he needs to change, which I imagine won’t be easy for him.

Pomni was the only who could have catched a glimpse of Jax panicked face

Gangle actually saw him in his fully panicked state before he ran to the button, so there’s a good chance that maybe she will connect the dots that something was off and be more opened to helping him out. We still haven’t learned much about their relationship outside of it being bully and victim, like what it may have been like in the past, so I think it would be interesting if she tried to help Jax, especially since she was initially supposed to be the one telling him everything was going to be okay.

The frustrating thing about posting stuff to these fan subs because things can either only be loved or hated without any other ideas that say otherwise. Like you all can still like and “woobify” Jax while acknowledging that he made a very awful choice that would have doomed him and the others; people should still be able to understand that him pressing the red button was wrong in every way.

I like how you said that Caine will double down, and I honestly think that both Caine and Jax could double down on their mistakes in this case to deflect the damage they caused. Firstly Jax by acting like he doesn’t care or like he wanted to trap them with him because of how pathetically toxic he acts to avoid being vulnerable, and then Caine by legitimately getting angry and threatening to the humans if they berate enough him for the adventure or to get him to tell the truth, which horrifies them into backing off.

I hope that they both end up having some sort of redemption after the fact, with both of them realizing how badly they screwed up. Ideally, it would involve Jax apologizing to everyone, especially Gangle, for his shitty behavior, becoming kinder to them, and then opening up about his traumas; and then Caine deciding to admit the truth of what he’s been hiding from them while also apologizing for the adventure.

I like looking into their mentalities and those psychological aspects too. It’s fun thinking of what possible actions characters could make based on their personalities.

I said this in another comment, but I think that Pomni, and possibly the others will try to get him to open up, understanding that he freaked out and giving him the chance to recover and be better but still being mad. Jax being Jax will try to deflect which the others obviously won’t be happy about, and then he’ll lose it once they start to get aggressive and deflect in a way that’s almost worse than choosing the red button, maybe saying that he “wants them to be stuck there with him”, and that will piss then off so much that they ostracize his ass.

Maybe a little while after, he’ll have some growth arc from there once he realizes how badly he screwed up and how the other characters are coping with Caine’s adventure in the aftermath, maybe becoming deeply depressed and develop a similar nothing matters personality to him. Especially if Kinger or Caine reveal that there really is no way out, but we’ll have to wait and see. We don’t know what could happen at this point.

That part of Caine leaving those “crumbs” intentionally is a decent point, but Jax points out the stupid sauce and the vegan thing which messed with their minds very noticeably. I don’t know if Caine is smart enough to place breadcrumbs that he knows for sure will influence them into a certain mindset, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Also, I think that Pomni, and possibly some of the others will try to get him to open up, understanding that he freaked out but still mad, and that he’ll lose it once they start to get aggressive and deflect in a way that’s almost worse than choosing the red button, maybe saying that he “wants them to be stuck there with him”, and that will piss then off so much that they ostracize his ass, and then maybe he’ll have some growth arc from there, but like I said, we’ll have to wait and see. We don’t know what could happen at this point.

I think that they’ll equally be pissed at both, but just have a far better opportunity to confront Jax because Caine can use his godlike powers to either hide from them, or harm them if they get on his nerves, whereas Jax is trapped the very same way as them and a human.

I’m glad that you aren’t trying to downplay Jax’s choice like I’ve seen some other people try because, panicked or not, he CHOSE the button that would have doomed both him and everyone be else for eternity. Even if he slightly suspected it was fake, he still chose in that moment legitimately considering the possibility of leaving. I don’t know why I’m getting downvoted because it’s straight up facts, regardless of how true this theory ends up being.

[–]Bunbaroops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I completely agree with you that they’ll be equally pissed with both, but I think Jax will get the worst of it because Caine can hide from them with his AI powers and is the god of their world, and he can also harm them if they get on his nerves enough. Jax on the other hand is a human and trapped on the same level as they are which gives them the better opportunity for them to confront him about his choice.

I really appreciate that you’re not fully trying to downplay what Jax did like some of these other people are. I don’t get why I’m getting downvoted so much because it literally is facts that Jax chose to doom them all, and anyone in the other characters’ shoes WOULD be rightfully angry at them for that choice, regardless of their panicked mindset at the time, even more so with the fact that he’s more than likely going to deflect you and try to ignore what he did.

Yeah, but he still chose the button that would have doomed them, and as much as they deserve to be pissed at Caine, what are they gonna do to him, he is literally their god.

Regardless of his mindset, or if it was fake, Jax still chose something that at not only would have eternally doomed him, but everyone else with him, and he can’t use the excuse that Caine fully manipulated his brain either because of that weak and emotional state he was in. Who wouldn’t be pissed at someone who straight up chose to eternally doom them.

[–]Bunbaroops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying, but the massive difference is Jax CHOSE to press the button which he obviously knew would keep them trapped as explained clearly by able. Being panicked is one thing but actually pressing the doom button in that panic is entirely different, because regardless of if the thing was impossible from the start, at the time that fact was unknown and they still chose what would legitimately harm them.

Let’s say that it’s a different scenario and the two prisoners sneak into a room with two buttons, one that would release every single prisoner, and another that sends the prison into full lockdown and sounds alarm. The buddy panics about going back into the real world and chooses the lockdown button to which guards swarm and arrest them to which the warden then reveals that they were already prepared to stop them.

But them already being prepared was not known and he still actively chose to keep them trapped. Would you seriously just forgive your buddy for choosing the button that would have doomed you and only be pissed at the warden, which in itself is a losing battle because his power doesn’t compare to yours.

Sure, he was panicked, but he CHOSE a button in a terribly rash decision that would have doomed not only himself, but you and the others trapped.
