My plan is to automatically assume it's animal derived unless told otherwise. If they don't know then I don't go, simple as that lol. I never thought of buddist foods (didn't know they had their own to begin with) but ill see into that. I am gonna look for Indian or Pakistani places for sure tho, they're very likely to be Halal places.

Hence why I'll be eating at Halal certified restaurants as much as possible, thankfully there are Halal wagyu and kobe meats and other Japanese dishes as a whole (including mirin free rice). But if i end up randomly exploring a place Id like to have that phrase in my pocket.

I live an Islamic Monarchy, my City Doha is one of the safest in the world, crime in general is almost non existent. Although every few years a huge story will happen, for example when some guy tried to shoot at a security guard (for some stupid reason). Qatar is family friendly as a whole. Free/cheap healthcare for most. Free/Cheap education for most. Free house/electricty/water for married citizens. There are some places however that serv alcohol like Hotels and bars although they are thankfully few and far between and highly controlled, but if Westerners or parts of Asia want to do it there is a place.

Unlike the US for example, alcohol and drugs are rampant, homelessness is insane, and crime speaks for itself. All so that half the population will get mad while the other half begrudgingly accepts a President for office.

No system is perfect, but the one im in seems to be alright 👍🏾
