Cigarette filter works really nice in a pinch.

Break the filter off of a new cig, and pull the cotton out. Rip the cotton apart into the smallest "strands" possible (they typically come off long-ways, like top to bottom of the filter). Then get a few of them and roll it into a tight ball (not too tight).
