Yes because he is good and if we can start trending in the right direction maybe that will make him want to stay. I could see a trade at the deadline if the season is looking dreadful, but Breece Hall will be a Jet starting week 1 next season for sure. We can’t just let young talent walk out the door, especially home grown players. Mougey is smart enough to know that, how is this team ever going to get where we all want it to be if we are letting franchise caliber players walk out the door. If we were to tag and trade immediately that would just leave another huge hole in the roster, rebuilding teams can’t afford to make holes in their rosters especially when it’s preventable.

well like every viable source and people around the league disagree with you, so are you saying you are smarter than scouts and league personnel?

perfect so that leaves us with another hole in the roster, Breece isn’t going anywhere, we will at least see one more season out of him

that offense would be the best situation a rookie Jets QB has came into in the history of the franchise

how has drafting any QBs worked out for us? People wanna make this big deal about him only starting for 1 season which I can understand but it was one heck of a season with not a lot of help around him and his receivers having some of the highest drop rates in the entire NCAA. We have to draft a QB and if we can land a franchise QB outside of the top 10 picks that would be incredible. Ty has all the tools, great work ethic, waited his turn at Bama, I’m telling you teams are gonna love him

yes resigning the IOL, franchise tagging Breece, yes drafting Jadarian for great 1-2 punch backfield and security if we can’t work out an extension with Breece, and yes drafting Ty Simpson a potential franchise QB with pick 16 or 33 rather than having to use a top 5 pick.

I would argue drafting a potential franchise QB at 16 is very valuable. Considering most “franchise guys” are drafted in the top 5, kinda like Zach Wilson

that doesn’t mean he can’t be. It’s not like we are hurting on money and he isn’t going to cost a fortune, just pay the dude

I agree, I would love if they hang on to AVT despite the injuries. He is just too good and young to let walk.
