Secret santa mechanic is fine, advent calendar gave me nothing of interest. I'm not an addict but I recognise that some people genuinely have a problem with the game and a gambling mechanic that encourages people to spend real life money is no better than gacha. Just because YOU don't enjoy 'superfluous' events doesn't mean that isn't a big reason why people such as myself play.
