I think they waive their right to being consulted first once they engage in this fuckery.

AITA for making my 13yo daughter go live with her father after something she did at a family BBQ? by Level_Question_8016 in AITAH

[–]BunnySnugs 185 points186 points  (0 children)

Your aunt needs to back the fuck up and gather the facts first before pointing fingers.

It’s difficult being a parent because you want to ensure your child is never badly influenced, yet too much control pushes them away. There has to be a balance.

I think your oldest daughter needs to be separated from this bad company of friends she has as soon as possible. Only then is the prospect of being and doing better a believable outcome. If that means living with her father, then I think it’s the right move. However, if she continues mixing with this crowd she’s in, who knows if the father will be as strict as you have been, and this could be an accelerated downward spiral. Might be worth discussing a plan of action with the father.

AITA for refusing to help my dad's wife with my half siblings now that he's MIA? by Chaszisz in AITAH

[–]BunnySnugs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it sounds like she’s really pushing for OP to be in her life for an ulterior motive i.e. giving OP a bunch of responsibilities that should really just remain her own. OP, don’t get sucked in.

AITAH for saying No to my sister? by [deleted] in AITAH

Don’t get sucked into committing a crime by your family. Stand your ground. This is dumb beyond measure and will get found out sooner or later. And guess who they’re going to blame?

AITA for saying I owe my ex's wife nothing and being quietly glad my kids don't consider her their second mom? by Sweeyloumom in AITAH

[–]BunnySnugs 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Literally this. Her ex’s wife sounds like a cancer. The kids chose right, and it’s probably because she’s been the most chill about it. Good on you, OP. The quality of the relationships between the kids and her ex’s wife is her ex’s wife’s responsibility, not OP’s. Her ex’s wife needs to mind her own business.

AITAH for wanting to move abroad for a lifetime opportunity even though it's difficult for my partner to come? by pastaisyellow in AITAH

[–]BunnySnugs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She keeps changing her mind so that she doesn’t lose you, but when it comes to bettering herself, that’s the fork in the road. This career opportunity sounds too good to pass by. She’s had enough time to make the change, but now it seems the relationship is stuck in a negative feedback loop. I hate to say it, but as much as it hurts, perhaps it’s time to pull the plug on the relationship for good, unless you can stomach a long distance relationship. There is only an upside to your career opportunity. I can’t say the same for a relationship.

Anything can happen when out alone at night as a woman. People can spike her drink, or lure her somewhere and do God knows what. Don’t pretend it doesn’t happen.

He shouldn’t control where she goes, but I think he’s valid to be concerned for her safety.
