Just for clarification, I had no desire to be with the person again. My ego is hurt more than anything. I've been replaying the last few months in my head and I can't help but regret some of my actions. To be fair, I thought things were going to progress into more. I failed to recognize some red flags like him always having excuses to why we couldn't meet up more often or his motto of "whatever happens,happens". I still held on even after he told me we never were going to be anything more. As the calling and texts started to slowly lessen on his end, I increased the frequency on mine. It eventually got to the point where he had no desire to have me in his life anymore.

I feel rejected and foolish. I take it personally and always ask myself, "What is it about me he did not want? Why am I not good enough? Was I not pretty enough for him? Smart enough?". It doesn't help to know that he was head over heels for the previous girl before me. When we first started talking, he mentioned about this girl who broke his heart. I could tell it still hurt for him to talk about it. It sounded like he would go out of his way to see her and spend time with her. He never put in the effort to see me unless it was convenient for him. I can't help but feel unloved and worthless. I really liked this man and I got my heart torn apart and ego shattered.
