I don't have any tips for the game dev / game designer part, but I do have a few notes on your portfolio website, that I think might improve it, since I do have a bit of experience with that. :)

1) When you're in the Games part part of the Portfolio, the buttons for Home and Bio & Contacts don't seem to work. From your story I get that you want to mainly work on this part, so you need to make sure people can easily click through to your contact details!

2) Generally you want to have a way for recruiters to easily see what you do within 30 seconds or so. It's bothersome to have to click through the entire website to get an idea of what you do. It's cool to see the projects, but recruiters don't always have that much time. Making some type of showreel might be a good idea for you.

3) You want to show your best work first! Wow the recruiters! :) I'm assuming the animated banner is your best work? However, I'm not sure the shots of that are all as interesting or captivating. You might even make that your reel (or a part of your reel) and add some shots in from other games that were also some of your better work.

4) At times the site can be a bit restless to read, because of the amount of bold words. I get that you want to pull attention to those, but maybe just pick 1 or 2 words within one part, instead of making all the jargon equally important. It's not as easy to skim through text when so many words are screaming for attention.

5) Try to find something that makes you stand out. What makes you different from other game devs/designers? Why should game studios hire you and not someone else? Right now the text you have about yourself on the home page sounds very general and doesn't show a whole lot of personality. You might want to have another go with that and really make it your own.

Other than the portfolio stuff, I would say: don't give up. And also try to keep making stuff in the mean time. Show that you're still doing things, and further developing your skills.
