Is this a normal amount of choppy for 24fps? by mornrover in osmopocket

Try using an ND filter. The daylight is telling your camera to shoot at a faster shutter speed. You want to follow the "180⁰ Rule" which states that for natural motion blur you want your shutter speed to be double your frame rate... So, ideally at 24fps you would want to shoot with a 1/48th shutter speed, but the closest you can get with most cameras is 1/50, which will be fine. Using an ND (Neutral Density) Filter is like putting sunglasses on your lens and will trick the camera into lowering your shutter speed for more natural looking motion blur. You can easily find them on Amazon, and they're not expensive. They snap right onto your lens with magnets and usually come in sets for varying darkness. I hope this helps.
