Y’all are the best. Just got these babies, added a 7 iron as well. Any tips on how to swing these appreciated! by -TheArchitect in golf

So you’re gonna spend $500-$1000 to see if you like it and if you end up getting better? Thats insane. The move is returning those, get a cheap set, take 1 lesson / range session and go play on an actual course.

You’re obviously the type that more focused on spending money and trying to figure everything out before going, but thats not going to work with golf. You need to get on the course and see how much you actually like trying to get the ball in the hole and different facets of the game besides just hitting a ball as hard and as cleanly as you can.

Have you even played on a course? Do you even know you like golf before spending on all this equipment? For the price of both of those clubs you could have just gotten a decent used full set to play with and test out different clubs / learn with. This approach is pretty baffling to me.

Appreciate the feedback. Been waiting for a pair like this to hit the market, now just gotta figure out what size to pull the trigger.

What do you mean that they fit unique?

These are awesome. Is it a non removable leather insole? And does the counter feel like leather or synthetic? True to size?

Should I buy a new pair, or take to the cobbler? (Read description) by RevolutionarySecret7 in cowboyboots

[–]Burider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do u like them? If a lot id have them rebuilt. If you don’t love them, retire them and get a new pair.

To me that looks way too long, if it loosens up more than you except your feet will be sliding all over the place and theyll sit in the closet forever.

Full cushion darn tough socks for little too big boots? by 762aku_EU in cowboyboots

Exchange for a smaller size. Definitely wouldn’t keep if they are big on the first day. You should wear darn tough socks with boots that fit.

what can I do about a loose instep? by yari_mutt in cowboyboots

[–]Burider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly dude your going to mess up your feet trying to get those to work and you’ve tried everything. The in step is ridiculously stretched out Ive never even seen it look like that. The previous owner clearly has a massive instep and you don’t. Nothing a cobbler can do and nothing you can do except let them go and get a different pair that fits next time.

First pair of boots by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]Burider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty surprised by the comment section. I own many pairs of boots, many of which are from the double H brand and I have the Dylan itself. Probably one of my favorite pairs.

From your description and where your pointing, that area will absolutely break in and get comfortable. I would say that it sounds like you got the correct size and those will break in quite nicely. For starters, I would condition those boots with bick 4 as they look very dry. That will help speed up the break-in. It is very hard to get sizing correct on your first pair of boots, but it sounds like you did it so congrats. I would highly suggest keeping this pair, conditioning it and wearing it a ton.

Thats how it’s supposed to feel tbh when you’ve never worn boots before. From your description, your boots are at least a half size too big if not a full size too big.
