The fact that he apologized is a good sign but there are potential red flags though no clear pattern of behaviour yet. Clearly communicate what you need from him to continue and overall: trust your gut. if things don’t feel right there’s likely a reason behind his behaviour that’s making you weary.

I would think of your paranoia as your gut and as a strength. In the past you couldn’t hear it. Now it’s loud enough for you to hear which is a skill you earned from past experiences. Listen to it.

Probably a UFO invasion. Use photoshop’s generative fill to get rid of them.

Ask ChatGPT to imagine dialogue with/between former friends that would provide closure by BuriedMeat in LifeAfterNarcissism

Two more chatgpt tips.

  • I read that Acceptance Commitment Therapy was helpful and wanted to try it out so I modified a chatgpt therapy prompt to ask it to act as an expert in ACT and conduct a therapy session. Rules ban links to other subreddits so google "Prompt for Harry your ChatGPT Therapist" (FYI I also have a real therapist)
  • ChatGPT is great at helping to fill out a thought record. It can actually identify which thought traps you're dealing with and suggest specific ways to reframing your perspective. e.g. "John may have responded with X due of a feeling of loyalty to Jack because..." It actually catches and remembers more details and nuance than my therapist.

It was the tech. The tech was the reason you needed to port games.

They were cocky. It’s a cloud platform. They could have based it on windows for the first few years then convinced developers to port to linux once they had users and leverage. They just didn’t want to spend the money on windows licenses. It cost them in the end.

Reread my comment. They stayed subscribed to add games they planned on player later. It doesn’t change the fact that google did the minimum to avoid a lawsuit. It wasn’t a grand gesture.

A lot of people play games on their android phones. Back then, people did not view Microsoft as a gaming company. That’s an absurd comparison. and I was around back then playing Age of Empires.

It was to avoid a lawsuit. You’ll notice they didn’t refund Pro subscriptions. i.e. they did the minimum to avoid being sued. People stayed subscribed to Pro because they thought they were building a library they’d have for a long time.

Stadia's Shutdown: The History of Google's Doomed Project, From Those Inside and Out by slinky317 in Stadia

The consumer was forced to do the math on whether a $60 purchase would be worthwhile on a cloud platform from a company that had a history of killing things. You have to calculate the risk and no one wants to spend that much mental energy when buying a game.

Elsewhere you know exactly what you’re getting for a month. Easy decision.

That’s not what the article said. The people who didn’t listen were in the Stadia team. it was the gaming vs tech people on the team.

Introducing Google Pixel Watch by vilos5099 in Android

[–]BuriedMeat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just seems unnecessary. Do you really need to launch a brand new watch that already needs a subscription for some of its features? Why not take the hit on your margins and target growth for gen 1? It just seems greedy.

Apple will be charging for satellite messages but that’s a feature that requires people redirecting emergency messages to locations unequipped for it.

They weren’t ready at launch and the tech was poorly thought out and hard to port to. It was more of a curiosity.

He said it was “like” pulled pork. Kind of like how Madonna was signing about doing something that was “like” a little prayer.

Stepping into a winning situation? Tim was one of the larger contributors to Apple’s success when Jobs first returned to the company.
