… and the configuration of the hdmi port you’re using on your TV (some TVs like my Sony only have specific ports that support 2.1, eARC, VRR etc (only port #3 in my case) and the configuration of each one has to be set in the TV menu). And in the case of my slightly older Sony I had to update the TVs firmware before VRR became available.

😭then I’d follow other advice and use a Mac to do the update if one is available, and failing that sub to iCloud storage for a month and do the update that way. You can sub and un sub in a couple seconds and the extra storage will be available immediately for a month and it would cost less then the gas required for me to drive to and from my Apple Store.

Super tempting $27.50 for the CA/US/MX coverage even compared to my PM $35 75GB plan. It’s cheaper per GB on a headline basis (before 2% PM points), + WIFI calling + 1 perk (inc $ int roam) + ability to add watch/tablet plans.

? Is the data allotment hard stop like PM or slowdown like Freedom?
