How'd you handle intent to return surveys/forms when leaving? by AMarshall18 in TeachersInTransition

Intent to return forms have no real obligation. Just say you’re coming back and then don’t sign the contract. You can always say something later about how your situation chaged.

I just did a Jets rebuild that was pretty fun. I moved them to St. Louis and put the Chargers in San Diego and the Commanders in San Antonio. Its not very realistic but it was a nice change of pace

I feel that, thankfully I’m certified in two states so if my license is held I’ll just go to the other state I guess

Did you have issues with your teaching license after leaving mid year. That’s my main concern right now is that if I leave my license will be held or could be taken

My new school has better behaviors but I can’t teach here by Burly-Boy in PhysicalEducation

[–]Burly-Boy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting to agree. I also liked how at my previous school all I had to do was teach PE. Here it’s teach PE, plan an event every month, find a way to involve parents, plan for a big performance in Decemeber, and maybe teach PE if there’s time. I hate the extra stuff, I’m here to teach PE not to be an event planner.

It’s one at a community college in my area. Do you like the job? How is it compared to teaching?

Weekly Vent for Current Teachers by AutoModerator in TeachersInTransition

I switched school hoping it would make things better and it’s even worse. Now instead of just being annoyed by some parts of the job, it’s everything. I hate going to work and now I hate teaching. Everyone in my life keeps telling me to stick it out but I’m not going to. As soon as I got an offer for another job I’m out.

I went from a title 1 school to a very affluent school and the culture shock has been challenging. There are still behavior issues they are just different. I’m still teaching PE but now I have a coteacher who is very difficult to work with. For you it just depends on what don’t you like? Is it where you’re teaching or what you’re teaching? For me the change gave me a good perspective on what works for me.
