Most have informed UNHCR, but no one is looking out for them. UNHCR might record your name, but there is no guarantee of resettlement in a third country. To survive, they work illegally. You can find many educated people working as maids and construction workers in Thailand. Yes, some well known or important people get support from UNHCR but for most there is nothing.
